Pleasant moment of rest - Had chosen kayak tour. Hugely beautiful surroundings and calm water. Because of the rustie environment and stilted you can spot a lot of wildlife. And besides the animals, definitely worth it in terms of environment.
No unnecessary transport, start and arrival at the place of appointment.
Definitely recommended.

MVP Tour Guide - Loved it. Jason (the guide) was really good and answer all of our questions. We saw quite a lot and had the best of times. Would recommend it.

Peaceful and Educational Morning Tour – Great Guide and Wildlife! - We joined the morning mangrove tour at 8 a.m. and had a great time. The weather was surprisingly nice considering it's the rainy season, and there were very few people around, which made the whole experience feel calm and special.
Our guide, Jeison, was friendly and really knew a lot about the area. He pointed out wildlife we wouldn’t have noticed on our own – like caimans and a “Jesus lizard” running across the water and explained interesting facts along the way. He also offered to take some pictures for us, which was a really kind gesture.
The tour lasted around two hours and felt very relaxed and natural. A great way to explore the mangroves and learn about the local ecosystem. Would definitely recommend it to nature lovers!

Fun time! - Not a lot of distance to cover, but it was fun! The animals weren’t super active, but the kayaks were clean and in good shape.

Peaceful kayak trip with a very knowledgeable guide - Our kayaking tour through the mangroves led by our incredible guide, Momo, was one of the best experiences during our entire trip to Costa Rica. We had booked a group tour, but were lucky to be the only ones and get a private tour. Momo was the best guide we could have imagined: he was very knowledgable about flora and fauna, and you could see how passionate he is about the environment and the natural world. We enjoyed that he did not only point out animals we saw along the way, but also shared detailed knowledge about them and other natural features of the mangrove forest. We saw a cayman, snakes (a central american black boa constrictor & a tree boa), king fishers, a hawk, common basilisks, and so much more. The ride through the river was super calm and peaceful.
We highly recommend the mangrove kayak tour!

This was an amazing... - This was an amazing experience. I’d never been in a kayak before but the water is calm and after about 10 minutes I was able to understand how to control my direction and speed from forward to backward paddling to turn and move forward etc. the mangroves are amazing and we saw a lot of wildlife; sloths in the trees, racoons and basilisks and other lizards on the banks, to different birds perched in trees and various foliage. The guide was very nice and informative. Would recommend.

Lovely experience off the beaten path - Wonderful trip! We had a flat tire and they quickly responded and allowed us to rebook a different time. We were so glad. It to miss it - highlight of our trip to Manuel Antonio!
Wonderful local guide with a beautiful location. Easy to navigate - even with no previous experience.

Beautiful, peaceful and educational - We had a great experience. Our guide was trained in eco tourism and knew a lot about the local flora and fauna and spotted many things we would not have seen on our own. We saw monkeys, lots of iguanas, and birds, lizards, raccoons. We didn’t see any Cayman or crocodiles, which was ok! Two hours was the perfect amount of time. Highly recommend!

Please DO NOT use this company! - Please DO NOT use this company! My family and I did the Mangrove kayaking adventure on Aug 1st 2025. Our guide, though sweet, knew very little about the wildlife and continuously made animal noises, trying to attract animals, who of course know better. But worst of all, we saw the other guides calling to the wild animals and then feeding them bananas when they came. They have actually trained some wild birds to come on command! Great for picture-taking, but terrible in the long run for the animals. We also saw several other guides holding out pieces of banana over the heads of their customers who were sitting in kayaks or on the motorized pontoons so that the white-faced capuchin monkeys would climb onto their shoulders for a picture. This is illegal and terrible for the monkeys, who will become aggressive over time. Also, the pontoon boats go by the kayakers constantly so you have to get out of their way and smell their exhaust, and they hand out plastic water bottles to everyone but do not offer recycling. Overall, this company is bad for Costa Rica in so many ways.

Worst activity in 12 days in Costa Rica - My family (me, wife, and 3 kids ages 17, 14, and 9) spent 12 days in Costa Rica. It is a beautiful and amazing country! And we had some of the most wonderful guided experiences including snorkeling, surf lessons, private boat trips, private night walks, ziplining, deep sea fishing. This kayak trip was by far the worst of them and the only one we regretted. The guide was really the problem. He hardly said anything the whole two hours; he was too busy taking pictures for himself with his personal camera. He paddle right by monkeys and then my wife or son would spot them. He didn't care that my wife and daughter were struggling with the kayak and didn't try to help. Motorized boats were constantly buzzing us and disrupting any sense of serenity that you'd associate with a kayak trip. Several of them nearly ran us over, and the guide would do nothing to yell at them or help us. After 15 minutes I wanted out. He did take some pictures of us kayaking and promised to email us all the pictures he took. He never did. Don't waste your time and money.
