The Savegre River in Manuel Antonio Costa Rica is about an hour away from the main Manuel Antonio hotel’s area. It´s an easy drive and your guides will turn it into an extremely informative ride. Along the way, you’ll see part of Quepos´ history such as the little towns called “Cuadrantes”, cultural and architectural inheritance of the United Fruit Company presence in our area.
Once at the river, you’ll start the tour, but not without a safety briefing and some practice. Besides you expert river guide, a safety kayaker will join the trip, and after little more than 2 hours, enjoying riverside occasional stops and the stunning views. The transport provided by the tour operator will pick you up at your hotel and drive 1 hour and 20 minutes to the Savegre River. During the road trip to the tour site you will see picturesque views of the African palm plantations, small towns, small rivers and jungle vegetation. Your guide will be happy to explain everything about what you see along the way. Occasionally they will stop to use the bathroom or take pictures.
