Guided tour is the way to go ! - Our tour guide Hans was amazing. He honestly made this already amazing experience 10 times better. I highly recommend booking a guided excursion. It’s super hard spotting the animals for those of us with untrained eyes.

Very complete tour with excellent guide 💥 - The tour was magnificent, we had few people in the park and a sunny day. Our guide Viviana had a friendly, happy and very pleasant attitude with us all the time, she knows a lot about the local fauna and flora and has a great vocation for her work. We were able to see reptiles, frogs, many birds, crabs, iguanas and 2 sloths 🔥. The snack was very fresh and the logistics were well organized. I would definitely hire again

If you have a choice choose Vivi and tour the National Park for guaranteed fun! - Vivi is the absolute best tour guide I have every toured with! She is so passionate about the park, the animals and educating others on all the experiences that are provided by the Manuel Antonio National Park and its wildlife. We got so many pictures to bring home to remind us of our visit there. Viviana has a natural instinct, it seems, on knowing exactly where the animals are hiding and a keen sense of hearing and site to find the more hidden creatures. Thank you Vivi for a wonderful visit and for sharing all of your knowledge we enjoyed our time on the tour and have made memories for a lifetime.

Amazing Experience - Without Jacob as our guide, we would have walked right past many of the animals. His knowledge of the area and animals was exciting to listen to and see!

Excellent private tour - My two adult sons and I went on a private tour with Alex as our guide. He was excellent and super enthusiastic about his job and made our tour exciting and educational. He found things that we would have never been able to see on our own and being on a private tour, he was able to give a more personalized experience without the big group. My boys and I all commented on how it was a better experience than expected well worth the price. Alex was an amazing guide and naturalist and we highly recommend this tour.

Set Low Expectations - It’s difficult to review the tour company without also considering the park experience. The best executed aspect of this tour were the logistics in transportation to and gaining entrance into the park. You completely avoid any scams attempting to capitalize on the volume of tourists and don’t need to reserve tickets separately. Peace of mind entry into the park. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. Overall, the Manuel Antonio experience was very underwhelming and I would not revisit on a subsequent trip. Pros: The park offers a plethora and diversity of animals, plants, insects and birds. Though, seeing multiple sloths within 50 feet of each other has me suspicious that the park wildlife is artificially curated. And as other reviewers have stated, this gives a zoo-like quality but without the enclosures. The beach inside the park is also quite nice. I love the park management of control on what is allowed in the park. There isn’t a single piece of plastic or trash, except for in a park controlled and caged concessions stop just before the beach. I also loved the accessibility infrastructure for ease of access. Cons: Manuel Antonio is very Americanized and it extends to the experience I had at this park. Hundreds of people (almost all American) with dozens of guides all walking simultaneously looking at the same things. It wasn’t a very personalized experience and our guide easily just piggybacked off of the other guides the entire walkthrough. Overall, I would only recommend the park experience, and this tour by extension, only if it is an absolute must-see for you. Otherwise, skip Manuel Antonio entirely and plan for something else. The tours feel like a systemic setup as a premium to pay into to gain park access hassle free. I won’t encourage others to pay into this as I did until the park experience dramatically improves.
