Engaging Conservation Show - We visited this family owned park at the end of our three week trip to NZ. We had also visited Kiwi experiences in Franz Josef and Rotorua (we like birds). This was our favorite. The conservation show was engaging and fun. The Kiwi House had nice opportunities to view the Kiwi. We also got to get close to several birds that we had spotted in the wild, but then could study them a bit more. The park is beautifully maintained and a nice respite from the business of Queenstown.

Best place to see Kiwi birds - If you want to see a kiwi bird, then this is the place to go. Well-maintained park, several programs included in admission and a large night-vision building that beautifully houses four kiwi. We saw them all!

Remarkable Kiwi preserve in the heart of Queenstown! - Phenomenal experience in the heart of Queenstown! Don’t miss it! We saw active kiwis running around their habitats, a rare Tuatare up close, forest parrots that liked to peck our shoes, a wonderful conservation presentation with many birds, and even a honey bee preservation area and honey tastings. Allow up to 3 hours to take it all in. Kudos to the multi-generational family who has kept this preserve growing and thriving for all of us.

REAL Kiwis!!! - I loved seeing all the birds in real life, especially the kiwis who I could have watched for hours as they are hilarious. The paths are a bit steep in some places so harder for people with mobility issues but great for families with kids. I also love supporting something which helps to preserve endangered wildlife. Keep up the good work!

A must visit in Queenstown. - This park was a pleasant surprise. We were on a tour and had our breakfast here which was the best on tour. The purpose of this park is to preserve some of New Zealand’s treasured flora and fauna. The have Kiwi’s in an enclosure where you can observe them. They have many birds and ducks that are endangered or nearly extinct that they are using breeding programs to strengthen their populations. They even have redwoods/sequoia trees. Wonderful, conservation minded organization.

All About Conservation - Great effort on behalf of the staff with regards to conservation. Please wait 10 minutes to get your eyesight adjusted. I saw 3 fairly big kiwis which will be released to the wild soon. Unfortunately no photography

FOR KIWIS ONLY - Pleasant, although a bit tired, park with sequoias and various bird enclosures. We went mainly to see kiwis as they are very difficult to see in the wild. Make sure you get there at feeding time. Your eyes have to become accustomed to the darkness before you can see them. But it is a very fleeting sight. Anyhow, we were glad we went, as we came across a young one in a national park a week later at dusk! It looked like a furry Easter egg, with a white beak, on cocaine ;-) There is also a conservation presentation that we found quite poor, with a few birds and...3 rats! The young lady doing the presentation speaks way too fast to be understood. The park in itself is pleasant with many sequoias and beautiful trees, but will be nicer when the noise from the huge construction above it stops.

You get to see Kiwi birds in their nocturnal enclosures. - We wanted to see a Kiwi bird and their enclosures are nocturnal so once your eyes adjust you can see the four Kiwi birds scurrying around. There is a talk with some native birds and they tell you about the Kiwi . During the talk they bought out a Tuatara - reptile / Possum / NZ Wood Pigeon . In the park we saw Karearea / Morepork Owl/ Kea / Kaka / Kiwi / Campbell Island Teal / Tui / Pateke / Kereru / Buff Weka. The park looks tired could do with an upgrade. We thought it was expensive but we saw a Kiwi.

Mediocre - The kiwi was very hard to see considering the dark background we had to view it. They are doing construction to add more room for the conservation talks.

I wouldnt go again - Not worth the money hardly anything to see. We arrived just before 3 in time for the now exhibition. That was good from there the park has hardly anything else to see. I don’t think the noise from the work happening next door was helpful
