Highlights
  • Queenstown Hill - Start your day meeting your friendly guide in the Queenstown Town Centre. From here we start our sightseeing with a short drive to the top of Queenstown Hill, where we take in the iconic viewpoint showing off the town and famous backdrop.
  • Arrowtown Chinese Settlement - Enjoy the scenic drive out past the famous Shotover River, where we watch jet boats speed through canyons, before passing under Coronet Peak ski field on the drive to Arrowtown. In Arrowtown, we allow you free time to explore this adorable mining village. Join our guide for gold panning, or take one of our maps and explore on your own, visiting the famous Arrowtown Bakery, and local gift stores, or stock up on treats from the Remarkable Sweet Shop.
  • AJ Hackett Kawarau Bungy Centre - From here we continue our journey to the Gibbston wine region, a stretch of road lined with vines and home to the world-famous Pinot Noir. Our first stop takes us on a thrilling turn, visiting the Kawarau Bungy Bridge, the home of Bungy jumping and a great spot to watch the fearless.
  • The Church Cellar Door and Cafe - The Church Cellar Door is a picturesque location, in a small refurbished church sitting on large sweeping grounds. Here you will have a tasting of Mt Edwards wines with a shared cheese board.

For those who don’t drink wine, or children on tour, they can choose to have a coffee or non-alcoholic beverage instead of wine.

  • Lake Wakatipu - The journey doesn’t finish there. After heading back toward Queenstown, we meet a boat charter in the Frankton Marina, which will take you on a guided 25-minute lake cruise on Lake Whakatipu showing you the sights from the water before dropping you off back in Queenstown Bay in the Queenstown Town Centre.

Best of Queenstown NZ 2024 - Driver guide Dan gave us his best. The introduction and safety was right. Luckily we were comfortable in a 7 pax group in a 12 ? seat luxury bus. A good look talk on Queenstown and then down the road to Arrow town quaint with really friendly people. Also watched a bunny jump and a Quick Look at Shot over jet boat river action. The church wine n cheese matching was educational and enjoyable. Will now have to shop for more cheese variants. Overall a great half day outing and only $119 Almost forgot the ride in a powerful boat in the lake in Queenstown very good finish.🇦🇺🚌✅

The Right Balance - It was the right amount of activities and variation for a 1/2 day tour. Our guide Anna was passionate and informative about the region. The wine/cheese tasting was delightful and the setting was lovely. Arrowtown brought another perspective. The Bungee Center and Shotover sites provided a glimpse of the love New Zealanders have for extreme sport! Scenic boat ride back was a reflective experience to settle you back in to town. Fun day!

Excellent Overview of Queenstown - We were fortunate to take the Best of Queenstown trip with Dan, who although apparently a "newbie" driver, did an excellent job of narrating our trip. In 4.5 short hours, we were able to see several views of Queenstown, bungee jumping, a jet boat on the river, a boat ride, and we even had a wine tasting at Church wines - which was excellent. Since we knew nothing about Queenstown, we would highly recommend this tour to familiarize yourself with the area.

Best tour we did in Queenstown - Ana and Dan led a brilliant tour for us. Their energy and openness created a lovely atmosphere and they seemed to have answers to every question we could think of! The tour itself took in some great sights and we particularly enjoyed the winery/vineyard wine tasting and the boat cruise back into town. The whole thing ran like clockwork and gave us a sense of the area, its history, and all the activities happening here.
