Fantastic! A great day out! - The bus was prompt and on time. The tour guide was funny and very knowledgable. We stopped at Midhope Castle (Lallybroch) for about 30mins. We spent 1 hour at Blackness Castle (Fort William) which was fantastic! Stopped to take photos of Lilithgow. Drove into lilthgow town for lunch and a chance to walk around the castle grounds. Castle was closed for renovation. It was Wentworth Prison in Outlander. We were given 1.5 hours. Culross- tour guide gave us a walking tour of the town telling us history and Outlander facts. After, we were given 30mins to explore the town. After driving a little more, we stopped briefly to admire the views and take photos. The guide played the Outlander theme song on the bagpipes which was amazing and really made you feel like you were in the show. Falkland Village- guide gave us a walking tour and posed as Jamie for photos from the first season. We then had 30mins to explore the town and get refreshments if needed. On the way back to Edinburgh we stopped for 10mins to take photos of the bridges over the river forth. We arrived back in Edinburgh at 6:30pm Our driver was called Mac and did litter picking at each stop.

Disappointing for the money - The tour guide showed low energy for the steep price. He was courteous and a safe driver yet did not contribute much to having an enjoyable experience. He was too quiet, as I had to keep prompting for discussion. Little preparation went into the hosting. My wife was in the back seat, and as he spoke, we repeatedly said that she could not hear him. I had to constantly repeat what he said loudly enough so that she could hear his remarks. The experience was basically being driven to three castles and being given sufficient time at each place. I had to make special effort to get him to talk extensively about what we were seeing. For that price, we expected to come away with much more. I could have driven to these places myself and saved a lot of money.
