Great little tour of Ile d’ Orleans - Dan, our tour guide made this tour interesting by sharing lots of historical and geographical information in a fun way. He was very pleasant and friendly. He was a courteous and safe driver. Enjoyed the sights of the island and the 4 stops. The nougaterie was my least favorite. We watched a video and would have preferred a live demo, and the samples did not seem fresh, shop clerk did not seem interested. The shop clerks at the cider stop and wine stop were enthusiastic and welcoming. Would recommend the tour to see another area outside of Quebec City.

I would take this tour again. - The bus driver/tour guide was Dan. With a small group on a potentially rainy day, he took the time to get to know all of us and let us get to know him. The stops were fun. The history he included was fascinating. I had high hopes and he more than met them.

Fabulous Tours - We were so fortunate to have had “Dan The Man” as our tour guide once again. My husband and I were the only two people scheduled for this tour yesterday and we felt like celebrities getting a private tour of the island! Delicious chocolates, wine tasting and maple taffy at the sugar shack completed our experience and everything was just fabulous. Highly recommend this tour and many thanks again to Dan for being such a fabulous guide for us to both the Falls and the Island of Orleans during our stay here in amazing Quebec City. MERCI!!!

Tell driver to slow down - Scary, fast driving of the van. Felt unsafe going at speeds far too fast. Orleans island is beautiful! Chocolate stop was excellent

Enjoyable afternoon - Dan was a good guide and gave us lots of interesting information. We did find that the chocolate stop was a bit rushed and would have liked to have spent more time there. At the nougat shop we were showed a video detailing how they made the nougat. It would have been nicer to have had this explained in person. We tried lots of samples at the cider stop but very small cups! Our favourite stop was at the wine place. We sat down here with 4 wines to try in proper glasses and received lots of interesting information about the wines.

Not the best taste of the island - This tour was a bit disappointing. It was a good way to check out a few things on the island if you don't have a car, but I was fairly disappointed with the tastings. The first 2 tastings are sweets, it was a little early in the morning to start there in my opinion. The chocolate factory was nice, but I didn't care for the nougat factory, they just had us watch a video about nougat making at that stop. The last 2 tastings were alcohol, a cidery and a winery. The cider here may not be what you're expecting if you've had cider in England or the US, it's more like a sweet ice wine than a beer. The winery was nice and the owner friendly but I didn't care for the wines. The tour operator was friendly and did seem to know a lot about the history of Quebec which is nice.
