Effortless Family Adventure: Montmorency Falls Shuttle Experience

When I heard about the Montmorency Falls Shuttle from Old Quebec, I knew it was a must-try for families. The promise of a direct, stress-free journey to the stunning falls was too good to pass up.

A Seamless Journey to Montmorency Falls

As a family travel writer, I’m always on the lookout for activities that are both exciting and stress-free for families. When I heard about the Montmorency Falls Shuttle from Old Quebec, I knew it was something I had to experience. The idea of a direct shuttle to the stunning Montmorency Falls, with flexible return options, sounded like the perfect day trip for families visiting Québec City.

Our adventure began at the Place d’Armes, where the iconic two-decker Blue Line bus awaited us. The kids were thrilled to hop on the top deck, and I was grateful for the ease of having our transportation sorted. The ride was a quick 15 minutes, and before we knew it, we were at the falls, ready to explore. The bus driver was punctual and friendly, setting the tone for a fantastic day ahead.

Exploring the Falls

Upon arrival, we were greeted by the breathtaking sight of Montmorency Falls. The kids were in awe, and I couldn’t help but feel a sense of wonder myself. We started our exploration with a leisurely walk along the lower promenade, taking in the misty spray and the roar of the falls. The kids loved getting a little wet, and it was a refreshing start to our adventure.

Next, we took the cable car to the top of the falls. The ride was smooth, and the views were absolutely stunning. From the top, we walked to the bridge that spans the falls, offering a thrilling perspective of the cascading water below. It was a perfect spot for family photos, and we spent some time just soaking in the beauty of our surroundings.

A Relaxing Lunch and Return

After our exploration, we stopped for lunch at the Manoir Manor Restaurant and Terrace. The food was delicious, and the terrace offered a lovely view of the falls. It was a great opportunity to relax and recharge before heading back down.

We took the cable car back to the base and had a little more time to explore before catching the 2:00 PM shuttle back to the city. The return trip was just as smooth as the journey there, and we arrived back in Old Quebec feeling refreshed and satisfied with our day.

Overall, the Montmorency Falls Shuttle was a fantastic experience. It was a stress-free way to visit one of Québec City’s most beautiful attractions, and it offered plenty of flexibility for families to explore at their own pace. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area, especially those with kids. It’s a day trip that promises both adventure and relaxation, making it a perfect addition to any family itinerary.
