They really care about mead! - What a wonderful experience! During the tour we learned a ton from the owner, Nadine, about beekeeping, mead making, and distillation. All of their products were very tasty. It was well worth the price, and a great experience outside of the regular "touristy" spots.

Bee presently surprised! - Small group experience. Tour in house and all production is done onsite. Intro to bees they have and how they harvest the honey. Honey is a basics for all of there spirits,wine,and grog. Tasting after tour is a delightful experience. Unexpected aromas and taste. Purchasing is only onsite. Not available in stores as part of their permit requirements. They are right in the city minutes from everything. Easy to get there by bus or taxi if you're a tourist.

Fun afternoon! - We had a marvelous time. The co-owner Nadine leads the hour long tour. Tour is limited size as it is a small distillery. Tons of information about bees and the whole process to make mead and spirits. We especially appreciated efforts the business is making to be environmentally friendly. The tasting is well organized and not rushed. Extra tastes are reasonably priced. Highly recommend!

Enjoying the amazing results of the hard working bees at Apikol - Frederick was very passionate about the bees and did an amazing tour! He not only has a great sense of humor but really gets you to understand all the process from beginning to end....we especially enjoyed the tasting of different products!! Thank you both for a wonderful experience

Urban gem - Bees are really amazing -- and Apikol truly celebrates them. We really enjoyed learning about apiculture and the distillery in the heart of Quebec City, and we loved every drop of our tasting experience at the end of the tour. Glad we stepped off of the well-trod tourist path to find this urban gem.

Fun with Bees and Booze - Fred was very entertaining and informative in the way he explained both beekeeping and distilling spirits. We also liked his focus on sustainability and working with other local producers. Most importantly the spirits they create are wonderful (we purchase several)! This tour was a great way to spend the afternoon.

A great experience off the beaten path - Step away from the tourist traps of Quebec City and learn about local Beekeeping, meadery, and distillation. Fascinating, informative, and delicious! Not only was it great to meet the Apikol folks, but we also met other travelers interested in the local apiculture and brewing.
