Highlights
- Little Qualicum Falls Provincial Park - We will hike for a minimum of 20-30 min at this location. If the guests want a longer hike we can hike an hour around the upper and lower falls.
- Englishman River Falls Provincial Park - We will take a short hike to the waterfall and do a short hike around the area
- Surfside Adventure Tours - Enjoy a private luxury tour up island with your own private driver and tour guide.
- Goldstream Provincial Park - Stop by to view some 500 plus year old cedar trees, and we may have time to walk to a beautiful waterfall
- Cowichan Bay Fishermen’s Wharf Assn - We will stop in Cowichan bay at a scenic lookout for some amazing photos of Cowichan Bay.
Cowichan Bay is a very scenic fishing community.
- Wall Murals - We will drive around Chemainus and view the spectacular murals and talk about the history of the town. You will have a chance to walk around 20 min to get some photos and explore the main strip and its unique gift shops.
- Cathedral Grove - We will stop and hike around this majestic old growth forest which is home to some of the largest and oldest trees on the island.
- Cameron Lake - We will make a quick stop at the lake for some great photos and learn the history of the lake.
- Coombs Country Candy - We stop at Coomb’s which is home to the famous “Goats on the roof”.
We usually have our lunch stop here at the Coomb’s Country Market, and time is allowed to shop the market after.

Great tour guide for this beautiful island - I had the best day with Darwin. He was friendly, kind and very, very knowledgable about the area. The tour included parts of this beautiful island I’d otherwise have been unable to see and Darwin was flexible and accommodating to make sure I had the best day! Many thanks

Darwin is great! - Darwin was a great guide. He was very accommodating with our wishes. He let us tailor our tour within the time allotted. I would highly recommend the service. You can tell he is very passionate about the places he takes you to. So beautiful!

Best Day of our Trip! - We decided to do the full day trip with Darwin and it was the best decision of our whole trip! Darwin really knows so much about the area and he went out of his way to make it a special day. We enjoyed amazing forests, beautiful harbours, seals, amazing waterfalls, yummy cinnamon buns and lots of photos to remember it all by. Everyone said that it was the best day of our trip! Many of my photos will not load, but it is well worth the money and I have already referred many people to invest in this day trip - we all loved it!

Scenery delightful - Despite a cold & overcast day, the owner of Surfside Adventure Tours took us for a delightful drive north to see lesser & more interesting places the big tour operators miss (lookouts etc). We had time to walk in forests & see rushing waterfalls plus coastal inlets all with a few comfort breaks & no rushing lunch. The operator had hand sanitiser on board so forget the C-virus & come to Vancouver Island!

Day tour with a difference - Thanks to our host, his comfortable Ford RV and his local knowledge, gave us a lovely day out to see the village of murals, markets, big trees, waterfalls and island seascapes. No worries with hygiene & our host was cautious but didn’t stop our tour. Clean Hands Saves Lives - that’s all! Don’t cancel your booking, tour operators would love to see all who have booked trips.

A Crown Jewel - An extraordinary gem discovered on our 3rd trip to Vancouver Island. Well with it! Darwin provided personable, professional, and informative service sensitive to our preferences. We enjoyed charming coastline communities, breathtaking waterfalls, and awesome old growth rainforest in a few wonderful hours. Exceeded our expectations. A great way to scout our future adventures.
