A somber moment to pause and reflect - This was a great way to experience a tragic part of Vietnam’s history. Our guide Pham was full of local knowledge and made the trip so interesting. To stand in the Museum at My Lai was something I will never forget, to read the stories of what happened on that day and face the incomprehensible in a time when war is still raging in parts of the world. I think the part that moved me the most was the footpaths as you walk around the village, whick have preserved the bare footproots of the villagers and the treads of the GI boots.
