This mountain is a pilgrimage site for locals and has served as a navigational landmark for sailors due to its height and shape. At the base of Beshbarmag Mountain lies the sacred site “Pir Hydyr Zundzha,” where travelers pause for prayer and worship. A knowledgeable guide will share the mythical tales associated with this location.

• Candy Cane Mountain - Located in the Khizi and Siyazan districts of Azerbaijan, the Candy Cane Mountains are part of the Greater Caucasus range. Travel author Mark Elliott first named them in his guidebook ‘Azerbaijan with Excursions to Georgia.’ The mountains’ vibrant colors result from groundwater altering the oxidation state of iron compounds in the soil.

• Qirmizi Qasaba - The journey continues to Guba city, nestled in one of Azerbaijan’s most picturesque landscapes. En route, guests will visit “Caucasian Jerusalem” - the Red Town, a unique Jewish settlement in the mountains. The village, home to 13 synagogues, two of which are active, houses approximately 4-5 thousand Jews, symbolizing Azerbaijan’s religious pluralism and harmony.

• Qechresh - Qechresh is a large village in the Guba region, surrounded by forest. Along the road, there are recreational areas and restaurants offering local cuisine. In the Qecresh forest, a switch to a Soviet off-road vehicle is necessary to reach Khinalug!

• Tengealti - Beyond the Gechresh forest lies the Gudyalchay canyons, where the road’s steep ascents and descents pass through the gorge’s towering walls. The road, flanked by mountains and cliffs, along with the lush forest, creates a picturesque village view.

• Eagle Top - A stop here offers a panoramic view of the Cascade Mountains, showcasing the stunning landscape.

• Khinalug - Khinalig, a mountain village recognized as a UNESCO historical monument, is renowned for its inaccessibility, unique language, architecture, and culture, drawing tourists worldwide.
