Also known as Siniggala, after its minaret – Siniggala (“damaged tower”), it is the first building in Azerbaijan associated with Islam and noted for its architectural ligature.
- Juma Mosque - The Juma Mosque (Friday Mosque), built in the 16th century, stands approximately 25 meters tall, featuring a balcony with uniquely ornamented parapet panels and stalactite decorations, including inscriptions in “Kufi” writing ornaments. The mosque’s oldest component is its minaret, dated by historians to the first half of the 15th century.
- Palace of the Shirvanshahs - The Shirvanshahs’ Palace, belonging to the rulers of the Shirvanshahs’ State from the 6th to 16th centuries, is a masterpiece of 15th-century architecture. Celebrated by UNESCO as ‘one of the pearls’ of Azerbaijani architecture, the complex includes a 52-room dwelling house, Divankhana, Seyid Yahya Bakuvi Tomb, ruins of Key Gubad Mosque, the Eastern Portal, the Palace Mosque, the Shirvanshahs’ family tomb, and the Palace bath. - Bukhara Caravanserai - Located in Icheri Sheher, the Bukhara Caravanserai dates back to the 15th century and was primarily used by traders from Central Asia and India. It is believed that the majority of its visitors were merchants from Bukhara, in present-day Uzbekistan, which explains its name.
