Start your full-day tour visiting the Giza Pyramids, including the Great Pyramids - Cheops, Chephren & Mykerinos. Then, visit the Valley Temple where the priests mummified King Chephren’s body. You’ll also get a close-up view of The Sphinx, the legendary guardian with a lion’s body and the head of King Chephren.
- Great Pyramid of Cheops (Khufu) - The only completely preserved portrait of the king is a three-inch high ivory figurine found in a temple ruin at Abydos in 1903. All other reliefs and statues were found in fragments, and many of Khufu’s buildings are lost. Everything known about Khufu comes from inscriptions in his necropolis at Giza and later documents. For instance, Khufu is the main character noted in the Westcar Papyrus from the 13th dynasty.
- Khafre’s Pyramid - Khafre’s pyramid complex includes a valley temple, the Sphinx temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple yielded several statues of Khafre, some found in a well in the temple floor by Mariette in 1860, and others during later excavations by Sieglin (1909–10), Junker, and Reisner.
- Menkaure Pyramid - Menkaure’s pyramid complex includes a valley temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple once housed several statues of Menkaure. During the 5th Dynasty, a smaller ante-temple was added to the valley temple. The mortuary temple also yielded several statues of Menkaure.
- Great Sphinx - The Sphinx, the legendary guardian with a lion’s body and the head of King Chephren, stands by the huge funeral complex.
- Gizeh Plateau - The Giza Plateau is a limestone plateau in Giza, Egypt, home to the Fourth Dynasty Giza pyramid complex, which includes the pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure, the Great Sphinx, several cemeteries, a workers’ village, and an industrial complex. It forms the northernmost part of the 16,000 ha Pyramid Fields in the Western Desert edge of the Nile Valley, part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Memphis and its Necropolis. The plateau is elevated approximately 60 meters above sea level.
- Dahshur lake - Visit the Dahshur Pyramids (Bent and Red Pyramids). The Dahshur area is a royal necropolis located in the desert on the West Bank of the Nile, about 40 kilometers (25 mi) south of Cairo. It is known for several pyramids, two of which are among the oldest, largest, and best-preserved in Egypt, built from 2613–2589 BCE.
- Saqqara (Sakkara) Pyramids - Visit Sakkara, located only 27 km southwest of Cairo. See the Step Pyramid (built for King Zoser), an important part of the pyramid evolution process, transitioning from the simple mastaba to its widely known form.
- Mastaba of Ti - The Mastaba of Ti is one of the most important archaeological sites in Saqqara, discovered by Auguste Mariette. The mastaba contains two serdabs, and the tomb walls depict various scenes of everyday life.
- Pyramid of Unas - Enhance your home decor with a magnificent replica of the Pyramid of Unas. This stunning piece features intricate detailing and a striking design, adding a touch of ancient Egyptian elegance to any room. Crafted with quality materials, this pyramid is perfect for any collector’s display or history enthusiast’s collection. Bring a piece of ancient history into your home with the Pyramid of Unas.
- Pyramid of Teti - The pyramid of Teti is a smooth-sided pyramid located in the pyramid field at Saqqara in Egypt. It is the second known pyramid containing pyramid texts.
- Memphis and Sakkara - Visit Memphis City, the ancient capital of Egypt, where you can see the colossal statue of Ramses II and the great Alabaster Sphinx. This city dates back to 3100 B.C. (1 hour spent).
At the end of the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel.
