- Pyramids of Giza - Begin with a pickup from your hotel in Cairo or Giza, then you’ll be transported to the Giza Pyramids in a private air-conditioned limousine or van. Upon arrival, mount a camel and embark on a unique tour of the Giza Pyramids, delving into ancient history with an expert tour guide who will explain all the historical points related to the Giza Pyramids and surrounding sites.
Unlike most camel tours in Egypt, we offer a unique entrance to the desert that avoids the busy, car-filled streets and crowded areas. Instead, you’ll experience the pristine, untouched desert. You’ll see The Great Pyramids of Giza, The Sphinx, and the Valley Temple. Visiting the Giza Pyramids on a camel feels like traveling back in time by hundreds of years.
- Giza Plateau - The Giza Plateau (Arabic: هضبة الجيزة‎) is located on the outskirts of Cairo, Egypt. It is the site of the Fourth Dynasty Giza Necropolis, which includes the Great Pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure, the Sphinx, several cemeteries, a workers’ village, and an industrial complex.
- Great Pyramid of Cheops (Khufu) - The only completely preserved portrait of the king is a three-inch high ivory figurine found in a temple ruin from a later period at Abydos in 1903. All other reliefs and statues were found in fragments, and many of Khufu’s buildings are lost. Everything known about Khufu comes from inscriptions in his necropolis at Giza and later documents. For instance, Khufu is the main character noted in the Westcar Papyrus from the 13th dynasty.
- Khafre’s Pyramid - Khafre’s pyramid complex includes a valley temple, the Sphinx temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple yielded several statues of Khafre, some of which were found in a well in the temple floor by Mariette in 1860. Others were discovered during subsequent excavations by Sieglin (1909–10), Junker, and Reisner.
- Menkaure Pyramid - Menkaure’s pyramid complex consists of a valley temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple once housed several statues of Menkaure. During the 5th Dynasty, a smaller ante-temple was added to the valley temple. The mortuary temple also yielded several statues of Menkaure.
- Great Sphinx - You’ll see The Great Pyramids of Giza, The Sphinx, and the Valley Temple. Visiting the Giza Pyramids on a camel feels like traveling back in time by hundreds of years.
- Pyramids of Giza - All the camels we use are kept in excellent condition and are well cared for. A camel handler will stay close to you throughout the trip to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable experience.
Camels undergo years of training, and we cater to all experience levels, providing horses suitable for beginners to those who are very comfortable riding. All our tours are private, whether you’re alone or in a large group, and you won’t be mixed with other groups. Each tour is accompanied by an expert tour guide and a groom to ensure you have a pleasant time in the desert. After the tour, you’ll be transferred back to your hotel.
