The best food tour in Cairo - Manar is the best! She showed us the best spots for delicious Koshary, juicy and flavorful shawarma, the best falafal, and really tasty juices and desserts. She took us for a walk downtown and told us about the history of some of the buildings. It was like sitting down with a family member, she made everything amazing. The driver ismael will get you around safely, he is very kind and knows his way in and out of the Cairo traffic. Definitely book this tour with manar when you are in Cairo! You will not be disappointed!

Good food and nice tour staff! - We wanted a private Cairo food tour for our first full day in Egypt. Our tour guide Manar and driver Ismail were friendly, professional and punctual. We were open to the visit of the Papyrus Institute and the Heaven Essence, and both enterprises were clean, educational, professional and we did not feel pressured to buy. Everything we ate was delicious. Ismail took us everywhere without any hassle, even though the traffic is "unruly" if I must be polite. After the amazing Koshari, we were taken to a secret falafel place, where our guide brought delicious falafel dipped in tahini in a fresh bread (like a sandwich). The falafel was so yummy. She did the same with the Shawarma while we waited in the van. I really wanted to see the places where they cooked our food, so I asked to go with her to get the food next. So she took us with her, where she bought a tray of "oriental pastries" for us to take back to our hotel. They offered to take us to more food, but the rest of my group was too full to go on. We were all too full to eat anything else after the Koshari with salad and pudding, shawarma, and falafel. The experience is very nice, the food portion was large for tasting. This tour is even for those who may not be as adventurous for new cuisines and culture, since I think it was somewhat filtered. I was left wanting for more, since I'm way more adventurous than most. But isn't that what every tour should be, leaving you wanting more?

Awesome food tour and great company! - This food tour was easily one of the best I have been on. Ibrahim was awesome and friendly! Had some of the best food and great company along with it. I would highly recommend going with him and can’t wait to book another tour!

Vegetarian Food Tour - Manar and Mohamed are both really nice. They really did take care of me during my trip. I'm vegetarian, and they brought me to a lot of different places that have good vegetarian food.

Fun, Tasty and Abundant Food tour! - It was for the second time we used "Egypt tours planner" in less than six months . In our first family trip we didn't have the chance to go for the food tour. I came back this time with a friend and decided to give it a go. Our guide was  Ibrahim . He was great and on time. He picked us up from the hotel and took us to downtown to try some local food. The tour lasted around 3 hours and we got to try variety of lovely dishes, such as shawarma, falafel and Koshary. Oh... the crispy fried onion which came with Koshary was divine. 😋 And the sweet to complete our meal was deliiiiicious. We had some really interesting conversations with Ibrahim. He was humble and personable. His knowledge of history and food made the time more enjoyable. I would recommend this incredible tour to anyone visiting Cairo. Ps: make sure do not eat for few hours prior to the tour.

Stuffed with excellent food - We had a wonderful time with our host. He knows the history and is such a pleasant guy. We never felt rushed and for us that is very important. We are seniors and move a little slower than some, but our guide was very respectful and helpful. We would recommend this tour especially if you have had no exposure to middle eastern food and customs.

Great Egyptian Food Experience - This company is extremely professional, has great communication, and a wonderful staff of guides and drivers. Special thanks tour guide, Khalifa. Khalifa made sure we had a great tour. He's a true professional, ensuring we had sufficient context for each site and restaurant we encountered during our tour. We never felt rushed and were encouraged to ask anything we wanted. I can't recommend this tour enough.

Good food - Plenty of tasty food choices provided on the tour. Time could have been managed a bit better. Tour guide was very friendly and helpful.

Mixed feelings after the tour - Our guide Khalifa was very friendly and on time. He took us to the downtown area, where we spent approximately 2 hours roaming the same street back and forth. We had shwarma, koshare, some sweets but since we had our lunch too close to tour time, we could not fully eat our portions which Khalifa gladly finished for us. At the end, he bought us the desert box of sweets but since we could not finish it, Khalifa did his best to finish the box himself, which was really weird. We could have taken this box to the hotel and have a tea party with the sweets a little later. Also, he tried to exchange some money for us at the official rate instead of their market rate. I felt used. It was not worth my money.
