Additional Information

Ideal for connoisseurs of exceptional vintages who wish to explore the distinct Mont Sainte Victoire wine territory. Departing from Aix-en-Provence, we journey southwards through the national park - Mont St Victoire, a Provencal icon, towers over the sprawling landscapes and vineyards near the historical village of Puyloubier. Our first stop is at Château Grand Boise where we learn about the wine-making process and sample some of their prestigious wines. On route, we make a detour to visit Domaine de St Ser, a unique boutique winery renowned for its bio-diversity. Perched at the highest point against the mountain’s steep facades, this vineyard benefits from intense sunlight and a dry, hot Mediterranean climate. We take a breather for lunch at the village square by the fountain before culminating our trip with the last wine tasting session at Domaine Terre de Mistral, known for their more robust wines and olive oil.

Oh La La - A bit of French Country Provence in Napier - Quiet & Beautiful - Stunning Quiet Accomodation in Napier set in a quiet setting in a beautiful garden. We stayed for three nights perfect accommodation in French Country Style - welcoming muffins on the table. Two Rooms - Large Lounge at the front and good sized Bedroom out the back. The decor is antique French chic - comfy bed with high quality linen, good bathroom with hot shower and fluffy towels. There is a self service breakfast of cereals, fruit and toast provided along with coffee pods, teas. There is a microwave. This was all adequate for us but others may wish to go out for dinner. We absolutely loved this accomodation check in was easy and friendly. If you love something that fits in with a beautiful garden with mature trees and statues that you can take an evening stroll in. You might see a rabbit and there are some quail as well. The garden has a gazebo and covered area just outside for use. This is suitable for couples.

Absolutely Wonderful! - My husband and I were on a cruise and had limited time to explore Provence. The Ooh Provence team organized a perfect day with visits to three wineries, a fantastic lunch, and a beautiful drive with views of Mont Sante Victoire. It was a bank holiday, so scheduling visits required an extra effort, but it was absolutely perfect. Highly recommend!

Excellent Tour - This private tour was well worth the price. Our tour guide, Laurent, sent us a text message the night before to introduce himself and let us know where to meet him at the cruise port. He was there holding a sign with my name right on time. We arrived in Provence early so Laurent took us to the top of the mountain where we were treated to magnificent views of the French countryside. He took us to three local wineries of varying sizes, but all of them were small, family owned vineyards where we received personal service and a personal tasting guide. Two of them gave us an extensive "behind the scenes" tour of their own wine making process and we walked the vineyards, entered the cellars and saw the holding tanks and barrels so we could see how the wine is processed from vine to bottle. One of them had a small restaurant where we enjoyed a delicious lunch, accompanied by their own wine, of course (the lunch is not included as stated in the tour description but it was not expensive). Our guide ate lunch with us and we enjoyed getting to know each other and became friends. We tried so many different wines that we lost count, but it was probably close to two dozen by the end of the day. The car was very clean and he had cold waters for us as needed. Laurent even gave us a small gift upon departure. We felt fortunate to have such a local, knowledgeable guide - it felt more like a family friend showing us around his town. I would highly recommend this tour and that you request Laurent as your guide.

Excellent way to experience Provence! - Chris and Ooh Provence took my wife and I on an outstanding tour of three wineries in Provence, each unique in their methods, setup, and geography. But each had very good wines and each tasting experience was intimate, giving us the chance to interact directly with the people involved in making the wine. We also stopped for lunch in a small town in the region where we had a chance to eat outside under the shade of the trees and enjoy more exceptional wine and a delicious meal. Chris offered lots of interesting and helpful information throughout the tour, and took great care of us throughput; he was an exceptional tour guide. We would highly recommend this tour company for anyone really looking to get to know the area and it’s wines.

Do not hesitate to book a tour with OohProvence! - Christopher was a wonderful tour guide. By the end of the day we felt like we were driving around with an old friend! He was on time with picking us up at our hotel and a great driver. We started with a little walking tour of Aix-en-Provence, then hopped in the car and took off for the wineries. Not only did we have ample time at each location (with lots of fun facts), but we took a scenic ride through the mountains. After a stop for lunch, Christopher gave us a walking tour of the small town. It was a nice way to be able to see more of Provence than just the wineries. The research that Christopher has done on the history of the region was obvious as well as his love for the job! The only hiccup of the day was that our third winery stop was closed. However, the company, history lessons, and beautiful drive made the disappointment of not have the third stop totally fine as it was a long day already! Christopher was kind, fun to chat with, and went above and beyond by giving us some pointers on what to do when we got to our next stop on our vacation. Thank you, Christopher, for the memorable day!
