A great experience I would recommend! - The kayaking route is great for beginners or paddling lovers! There is so much wildlife to see and cool areas to explore within the mangroves! The guide did a great job sharing tons of information about the area/ecosystem while also explaining the culture of the people/civilizations of this area as well! 10/10 !

Kayaking is fun! - The mangrove kayak tour is very unique and unlike the other tours I’ve done while in Costa Rica. I was blessed to have Alberto Rojas as my guide and his wisdom and energy for the wildlife is contagious. He stopped the bus even on the way to the mangrove to point out wildlife. The kayaking does require some moderate strength and thus would recommend you be in shape if you want to do this but the kayaking itself was so peaceful. As commented in other reviews, not as much wildlife but if you want a fun experience and enjoy kayaking this is a must do. Hopefully you’ll get Alberto because he made the experience great just to talk with him and learn from him. 10/10.

Great kayak tour for families! - Our family of four (kids, ages 10 and 15) had a great time. We’re novice kayakers and the guides were super helpful and patient teaching us as we went along. We had double kayaks, my 15-yr old with me and my 10-yr old with my husband. The guides were a wealth of knowledge about the ecosystem and mangroves forests in Costa Rica. The lunch at the end was delicious! We recommend 💯

Tucanes Tours - We went with Tucanes Tours. Maria was our contact and guide while Abie and another guy took us in the kayaks. They were terrific. Made it easy for us to kayak on the waterways of the mangroves. Provided lots of commentary and pointed out animals for us to see and photograph. They took us to lunch at a CR restaurant for a prearranged lunch/dinner. The food was delicious! I highly recommend this tour company.

Relaxed Kajak Tour - The two tour guides told us a lot about Costa Rica, the surrounding area of Quepos, the animals and the national park. Food and drink were enough and were pretty good.

Fruit snack before hitting kayaks and lesson given to group. All equipment provided (life best, paddle, kayak). Lockers available for free and bring a wet bag if you plan to carry personal items. Paddle with guide and spot monkeys and other critters as you paddle. Relaxing float time provided.
