Pura vida in a kayak - We started the tour with a lovely walkabout on the beachside and up to the cliffs, where Yara spotted multiple sloths for us. That way we also got to see a more private beach behind the rock - and learn about jose hansel and the indigenous and black histories respectively When we entered the kayak after we got away from beach and bridge it was mostly us 3 and the jungle (oh and countless and various animals - you’ll have to find out yourself;)) It was so relaxing and nice, Yara is an excellent guide and host to pura vida and a lovely person altogether Highly recommended!

Great tour, wonderful guide! - Yara was an amazing tour guide and knew where to find all the animals. She is extremely knowledgeable about the local wildlife and plant life, which we learned a lot about on the tour. Yara is very nice and easy to talk to if you have any questions. We are nature and animal lovers and could tell that Yara was very in tune with nature and really cares about the environment, so we really appreciated that we were able to share this experience with her. We had so much fun on the hike, as well as kayaking on the river and got to see so many sloths and many other animals. We highly recommend doing a tour with Yara! You won't regret it!

Amazing tour experience ! - I had the most incredible tour with Yara! I did the Punta Uva hiking and kayaking tour, and was able to see countless sloths and several baby sloths as well! Yara is so knowledgeable about local wildlife and history, and does an incredible job and respecting the land through sustainable tourism. I would highly recommend Yara to anyone who is looking to take a tour in the Puerto Viejo area!

Incredible experience that left us speechless. - I took an excursion with Yara with four friends and we were really delighted. After a walk to discover the animals and vegetation of Punta Uva, we paddled down the river in a kayak. It was an amazing experience, Yara is a really passionate and knowledgeable guide. He taught us many things and pointed out details of nature that left us speechless. We were also lucky enough to see a sloth come down from a tree to drink from the river. Really exciting! I recommend this experience to everyone!

Serene River Kayak Exploring - Yara is so clearly in-tune with nature the way she explains the environment and animals, spotting hidden, sleeping sloths and birds in the trees and knowing exactly where to look to show little frogs and special plants. Her vibe is calm and confident and makes the whole experience relaxing and inspiring! Before kayaking the river where we saw countless birds, turtles, fish, frogs and crabs, we took a little hike up to the Punta Uva cave while Yara explained the significance of the species of wildlife around us. It was easy, beautiful, and relaxing while still feeling that sense of adventure and the opportunity to explore and discover new things about the world around you. I highly recommend taking a tour with Yara — you won’t forget the experience!

Best Tourguide - Yara was the best tour guide to explore the nature of puerto viejo. She knew and explained a lot about animals and plants so we learned a lot during the tour. It was great spending time with her, we fully recommend Yaras Tour!

Explore the jungle with Yara on kayak and by walking - We can highly recomend to book this tour! Yara as guid could show and explain us a lot about the local nature and culture. Paddeling up the river through the jungle was amazing and we could see a lot of wildlife. We booked the tour the day before, so Yara haven't seen the booking first, but through contact by whatsapp we could get the tour a bit later, if you book short it advance I would recommend to send a message directly to her for being sure.
