An Unforgettable Experience - what an amazing experience! my husband and i were a little upset when we woke up the morning of our tour and saw that it was cloudy. We had heard that the whale sharks only come to the surface on bright sunny days. We checked in for our tour and were told if you rent a wetsuit, you do not need to wear a life jacket to swim with the whale sharks! If you're a good swimmer, i would highly recommend this or bring your own. It was $15 pp. Also, make suer you use the bathroom before boarding the boat. You'll be out on the water for a while and the boat does not have one. Keke and Carlos were awesome! They drove us out about 30 miles and were in constant contact with other boats to find us the best spot. After about an hour and a half we saw a giant Manta Ray and some dolphins. The sun eventually peaked through the clouds and the 35 ft whale shark swam by only a few feet from our boat. Out of nowhere 20 other boats showed up and the whale shark swam away, but our guides seemed more experienced than the other boats and were able to find a less crowded area for us. We had a nice manageable group of 8 people which enabled us to swim with the whale sharks 3 times! Keke also captured videos of us that we were able to purchase after the tour. It was about $80, but definitely worth it. We also brought a go-pro with us, but we didn't want to get caught up with taking too many videos and missing out on being in the moment. the stop at Isla Mujeres was gorgeous! the waters are crystal clear and we floated around and snorkeled while Carlos prepared the fresh ceviche. Very tasty! Overall, it was a breathtaking experience that we will always remember. Thank you! (photos are screenshots from our video)

Once-in-a-lifetime-dive - We had the best time on the Whale Shark Encounter. Captain Lobo, Sailor Manuel, and Glenda set us up for the best experience!!! We got the dive technique and instructions to get the best views, the cerviche was delicious, and the videos and photos were perfect to document the dives. Thank you so much!!

Best 25th anniversary gift ever ! - The whole trip was unforgettable, we went as a couple myself and my husband, Angel the captain and Hebe our guide were amazing, from start to finish the whole trip was organised and smooth, we were taken about 25 miles out to sea which took about an hour, as we had the most calm waters, as a very reluctant and anxious swimmer, Hebe held my wrist as we jumped into the sea, and took me alongside the whale sharks and took a Go pro with him to film everthing, the flippers and snorkels were supplied if you didnt have your own, the life jackets were compulsory and then after 2 jumps with me and 3 jumps for my husband, we set sail for Isla Mujeres where they made a gorgeous lunch and ceviche with drinks in the crystal sea, we got back to our hotel after viewing the Go pros that they had taken about 1.30pm after a 6.30 start from our hotel, thankyou so much for a life changing experience and your kindness xwe wouldnt hesitate to recommend them and of course there are no guarantees that you see the sharks,we were just extremely lucky

Once in a lifetime - It was well organized and once in a lifetime event. I would like to have spent more time in the water around the whale shark, but I do understand the limitation with the number of tourist wanting to experience this. The guide and captain were very helpful. The ceviche was excellent. Bottom line: Highly recommend.

One of the best experiences in my life! - Yesterday we did the whale shark tour, it was an incredible experience, Hebert and Angel were our captain and guide; On the first dive I was shocked and didn't see it, I got a little frustrated but then we moved to another area where there were fewer boats and more sharks and they gave me the opportunity to do one more dive, Hebert was patient and took some beautiful videos of us. Upon arrival at check in they had coffee, yogurt, bread and bananas; The boats are the best and you notice it when you are at sea and see the other companies. We were among the first to arrive at Isla where they prepared us a fish ceviche and some croisants, water and soft drinks. I recommend renting the wetsuit if you know how to swim to avoid using the vest and have a better experience, we rent the suit for 15us per person but believe me, it's worth it!!! It was one of the best experiences of my life and I am a local, I took this tour as a birthday gift for myself and it was worth every peso.

Amazing Experience! - The last time I did this was years ago. Now I brought my wife and her sister and cousin joined us. I'm so glad we were able to see them and experienced it. My sister-in-law said it was better than the night manta ray swim in Hawaii. The staff was great, helpful, and professional. Tips for travelers: Take dramamine when if you don't ever get sea sick. It's good insurance. Bring your own snorkel and mask if you have some. You'll drink some saltwater with the ones they have. Eat your own breakfast. They have pastries and bananas, and that's about it. Since you're swimming on the surface, a waterproof camera case will allow you to get pics and videos if you don't have a gopro. Suggestions for the company: Have music playing when you're at Isla Mujeres and some beer or alcoholic drink if legal to do so. More fins, so the next group doesn't have to wait for people to come back up with theirs.

No Sharks for Us! - I really wanted to see whale sharks and selected Cancun for our vacation spot just for this reason. We went out on August 31 and spent 5 hours in a small boat without seeing a single shark. Did not even have an opportunity to jump in the water. Very disappointing. The operation was at least organized, but if the conditions are not good for whale shark feeding near the surface, then the excursion should have been cancelled or we should have been given partial refunds.

Ordeal - My experience with the whale shark snorkeling adventure in Isla Mujures was nothing short of disappointing. The entire ordeal was a constant series of cancellations, day after day, leaving us to constantly adjust our plans and schedule. This, in turn, pushed out our other tours, causing a domino effect of chaos in our itinerary. What added to our frustration was that they canceled the whale shark tour just a mere half day before it was supposed to take place. This left us with no alternative time to schedule other activities, making our trip feel like a complete waste. It's disheartening that this operation appeared to be so unreliable and ill-prepared. They kept blaming the port authority and the weather for the constant cancellations, but the weather was beautiful, and we had no idea whether the blame on the port authority was even true. All in all, this was a thoroughly disappointing experience, and I would strongly advise others to think twice before booking with this company for their whale shark adventure in isla minutes
