Great Discovery Dive - Great experience - this was my second time scuba diving, first time for my partner. Our dive master Neney was attentive, thorough, and explained concepts well for our group during the pool training. We had rough seas on our dive day, and Neney made sure we got our gear on ASAP when we anchored so that we didn't get seasick before the dive. During our decent, he helped my partner breath calmly and equalize her ear pressure so that she could continue, and he kept track of us at all times. Our photographer Gabriel was excellent and ensured we had plenty of fun poses and action shots. His GoPro is of excellent quality. The 60 fps, 3 minute video they stitch together is fantastic, and personalized to you and your partner. The photos/videos weren't cheap, but they are well worth it. Even though we both threw up once we surfaced and got on the boat, it was a very fun experience and we can highly recommend Scubaquatic.

Pedro was the highlight of the dive - We did a Discover Dive on our vacation to the Dominican. We booked through our resort, so I didn't know exactly what to expect. This was my first time diving, however the three others in my group had been once before. We were dropped off at the dive shop which seemed to share a pool with a hotel. Pedro was our instructor, and he was absolutely fantastic. He was very patient and thorough explaining the fundamentals of diving. I really enjoyed that he explained the 'why' not just telling us what to do. I felt that helped me remember during the dive. After the instruction, we suited up and headed into the pool for a lesson. It was a bit awkward swimming around hotel guests in the pool, but none of them seemed to mind us. We then walked out to the beach and got into a boat. It drove us a little ways out and we began our dive. It was short and sweet, there wasn't the fantastic coral or exciting shipwreck to look at. However, I could have spent hours exploring. My only complaint, if you could even call it that, would be the photographer that tagged along. I felt that he distracted us too much to take pictures, pulling our attention away from Pedro and the dive. I know many people dive just for the pictures, but in the end, he never even showed them to us, or told us how we could review them for purchase. I can not speak highly enough about Pedro though. I always felt very safe and enjoyed learning from him. I would love to do more dives with him!

Great experience discovering scuba diving! - I did my first PADI scuba diver certificate in the Dominican Republic! Although I was scared at first, my instructor, Pedro Marin, did an amazing job explaining everything in an easy to understand (and fun!!) way and calming me down! In the end I did 2 open water dives of more than 30mins each!! He was very knowledgeable and patient! I could not have done it without him - highly recommend him to anyone visiting DR and wanting to scuba dive!

Great place to dive, just need to improve their boat quality. - Pavlo is a great instructor! He is meticulous about safety and procedures. Also, he is encouraging and supportive throughout the whole learning and diving process. Nobel and many of the other staff are friendly and helpful, quick to answer questions or make sure you are doing well. I gave them a 4 instead of a 5 due to a few reasons. The condition of the boat used to pick me up from the hotel and to deliver us to the dive sites is in very rough condition. I received multiple cuts from broken fiberglass. The boat ride is rough and some padded seats would go a long way to customer comfort. Finally, walking with full gear through the hotel property to get to the pool is uncomfortable and a bit daunting. Having a porter deliver the gear to the pool would go a long way to increasing comfort and safety. Overall I am extremely happy with ScubaQuatics and their staff. Their pricing is great and their paperwork is spot on. Received my Certification Card within 1.5 weeks after returning to the USA. Thanks again Pavlo!

Worst Dive-base I ever been to! Danger stay away! - Bad perpetuation for the dives, broken equipment, no responsibility for the costumers we payed for an OWD and a few dives which we both cancelled after the first experience with them. First they said we ain’t getting back anything but after we discussed it a few times and talked directly with the manager they agreed to give us a part of the money back within a week. We still waiting for the payback (400$) and now it’s over a month ago. The prices compared to the organization and equipment is way to expensive. Stay away!!!
