The crew, led by the ever-charismatic Raymond, welcomed us aboard with warm smiles and infectious energy. The initial ride on a smaller boat to reach the main vessel was a mix of adrenaline and laughter, setting the tone for the day ahead.
Diving into the Deep Blue
Our first stop was Cabo Engaño, a snorkeling paradise. The water was a bit cooler than expected, thanks to a cloudy morning, but that didn’t deter us. With snorkels in hand, we plunged into the azure waters, greeted by a kaleidoscope of tropical fish darting around the coral reefs. The crew was fantastic, guiding us to the best spots and even joining in the underwater fun. As someone who feels at home in the ocean, I relished the opportunity to connect with the marine world in such an intimate way. The slide on the boat added an extra layer of fun, though we had to wait until we were in deeper waters to truly enjoy it.
A Feast and a Fiesta
As the sun broke through the clouds, warming the day, we anchored at the Natural Pool. Here, the crew set up a floating bar, and the BBQ was fired up. The aroma of grilled chicken and hotdog skewers wafted through the air, mingling with the salty sea breeze. The food was delicious, a perfect complement to the rum cocktails and the local favorite, mamajuana. The crew kept the energy high, dancing with us and ensuring everyone was having a blast.
