Great first experience - Recently travelled to Punta Cana and finally got a chance to take a lesson in kitesurfing , and would highly recommend KBS. My instructor Simone was patient, and very knowledgable , he really wanted me to understand the hows & whys of the equipment & kite which I really appreciated. Philou the owner was friendly and easy to communicate with while setting up lessons . Overall a great experience with great people, can’t wait to go back and contiue the lessons.

A must visit for kitesurfing enthuasiasts - I had an incredible experience at KBS Kitesurf School and would highly recommend it to anyone interested in trying kitesurfing. The staff is exceptionally welcoming and readily addresses any questions you may have. Lesson scheduling is convenient through WhatsApp, with prompt responses, and they provide all the necessary equipment for practicing the sport. I was paired with Vértico by Philou, and I thoroughly enjoyed my time learning with them. In a few words, it was an amazing experience with fantastic people at an outstanding location. My only regret is not discovering this place sooner, as I learned about it during the last days of my stay. One suggestion would be to promote more the spot to get more visibility since I found out about it by chance. If you're staying near Catalonia Hotel, make sure to visit KBS Kitesurf School.

10/10, would recommend for beginnners - My family stayed at the Catalonia Bavario Resort, and I took the opportunity to take a kitesurfing session with gear rental from KBS. Simone, the kitesurfing instructor, was very patient and very knowledgeable. The owner, Philou, is a very friendly and helpful person. Overall, I would recommend this experience to everyone, especially for beginners.

Excellent school with super nice people 🙂 - This school is really great. The owner and the instructors (Roby is the best! 🙂), are easy to work with. They are super knowledgeable and professional but cool at the same time. They have decades of expertise and experience. They even te you to shower with fresh water to clean your/their equipment 😛 The thing that I loved the most is that they have radios so when you're out riding, the instructor can talk to you and help you get better on-the-fly, and not only at the end of the session explaining what you did good or bad, he can tell you instantly to do this instead or correct you and give you advice right away. It helped me to improve a lot.

Very friendly & helpful staff - I went to Punta Cana already after completing my kitesurfing course, but never really had a chance to rent on my own - staff at KBS was extremely helpful in stepping my first steps as an independent surfer. They were always there to assist me with equipment, starting/landing and gave me quite a lot of helpful tips on doing my first jumps. Besides that, the equipment was new (even brand new sometimes) and the area is dreamy (and not crowded with other surfers), so would definitely recommend going on water with KBS whenever Punta Cana beaches get windy!

Best holiday activity ever - Great kitesurfing school with friendly instructors. From beginner (me) learning how to fly the kite, body drag, power dive and stand up on the board, right up to advanced level instruction for jumps etc. All kit supplied in top condition, good range of kites and safety-aware. Good English,Spanish and French spoken. I had great fun and thoroughly recommend KBS Kitesurf.

Best kiteschool in Punta Cana - We rent a board from KBS kiteschool. They helped us so much. Getting us good information, advices. Also the price for rental was perfect. All instructors teached with a lot of experience and motivation!

KBS kite school and rental - Nice spot for light wind lovers. Kite size from 9 till 15. Staff very good and professional. Nice people, very friendly. Spot not crowded, flat and shallow water, easy for beginners, near to a good Hotel Catalonia.

Save Your Money and Go Elsewhere - I recently did a 3-day, 9 hr lesson and the experience was not good for the money. From the content on the website, the prices they charge ($900 regular, $765 with 15% discount), and the reviews on trip advisor, I was expecting top-notch service but that is not what I got. I had a lesson with Cuco, and while he was an experienced rider, his english was not very good. It was hard to understand his feedback, and I felt like the feedback provided was not clear and actionable. In other words, when I made a mistake, it was difficult to understand what I had to do next to fix it. The extent of the instruction I got was mostly watching him perform the steps, and then trying to repeat it which is not a great way to learn. I wish the instructor would have more clearly articulated the what, the how, and the why behind each step so I could have built a mental map of what is right and what is wrong to do in each situation. I did the full 9 hour lesson, and only got to body surfing (I didn't get to ride the board). I don't think this was my fault, but rather the poor instruction, and with better instruction I would have ridden for sure. I felt like because the instruction was inefficient, I only got ~2 days worth of lessons that took three days instead, which is a waste for the price. I would not pay more than $500 for what I recieved. For the prices they charge, I could have gotten world class instruction back in the United States. I had to watch Youtube to fill in a bunch of knowledge gaps from the lesson and it is clear the Youtube instructors are much much better. Maybe if you speak Spanish, then this lesson would have been better.
