Fantastic Fishing - Kelvin and Andres worked hard to make sure we were comfortable and get us on the fish. We caught two Marlin a King Mackerel and two Mahi-mahi. They filleted the fish and we took some to a restaurant. Make sure you bring sunscreen and motion sickness medicine. I would recommend Marlin fever to anyone who wants to catch big fish.

Great day with Andrés and Kelvin - We went out today with Kelvin and Andrés and had an incredible time! We were on the mahi within 20 minutes. My fiancé and I caught several mahi mahi and barracuda. The mahi was delicious for lunch back at our hotel. Beautiful boat, and hardworking crew. Highly recommend!

Mahi Mahi Fun! - Our family, my wife and I along with our 2 adult children and their spouses, spent an awesome day fishing with the Atlántida crew. We landed 4 mahi mahi and the crew filleted all of them when we got back to shore, so we could transport them. Great time!!! Don't forget to take the Dramamine. Smaller boats with ocean waves equals a long wild ride. Important note. Make sure that if you plan on bringing fillets back to the states, that you do your due-diligence to make certain you are allowed to do so. My son-in-law spent hours of time while on vacation trying to figure out how to get them back to the states, discovering that there was no clear answer. He ended up packing them in his leakproof YETI backpack and taking the fillets as a carry-on. Miraculously he was able to go through security and customs and got them home.

my first ever white marlin from the best fishing charter I have ever had! - OK I may be a little biased as I was successful in catching my first ever white marlin on this boat. However I would strongly recommend to anyone to fish with this company and the boat Marlin Fever which I consider to be the best fishing charter I have ever had! Thank you Anthony Perez and thank you Captain Tito!!! I was in Punta Cana for a fishing holiday shortly before my formal retirement at 65 next month. I made a booking with this company from Switzerland after seeing the website and good reviews. As soon as I had asked for a one day booking the owner of the company Antonio (Anthony) Perez phoned me from the Dominican Republic and we discussed my "dream," so far unsuccessful, of catching a marlin. He spoke very enthusiastically of the near certainty of seeing a white marlin and a great chance of catching at least one over several days of fishing. I phoned again on arrival at Punta Cana and he arranged a transfer from my hotel to the marina at Cap Cana for the following day. In the end I fished 3 days from his boat "marlin fever" on what were supposed to be 6 hour trips. All were in fact longer! I also fished one afternoon on the smaller inshore boat given bad offshore weather conditions. That boat was a great boat - perfect for fishing the flats and inside the reef - but fishing was poor - we caught next to nothing but that is why its called fishing and not "catching!!" It was another story on marlin fever! The first day I fished the sea was quite rough with a heavy atlantic swell and high waves. it was the first time I had fished such conditions for several years and despite taking sea-sickness tablets I was sick after about 30 minutes for an hour or so. The crew treated me sympathetically but wisely kept quiet until i recovered! We caught three mahi mahi with the best about 10lb and the skipper, Tito, saw a white marlin briefly behind the boat but our trolled ballyhoo and trees of teasers failed to hold its attention and provoke a strike. The sea was quite rough and with large amounts of sargasso weed the conditions were not ideal and we did catch fish - i was reasonably pleased with the results and delighted that after a phone call with Anthony the skipper went further offshore and we had more than an hour of extra fishing on top of the time I had booked, at no extra charge, as he searched for another white marlin! We then had several days of even heavier seas forecast so decided that I would fish again when conditions were forecast to improve. This we did and a few days later, with flatter and calmer seas we went out again. This time I was accompanied by Anthony Perez, the owner of the company Atlantida, who is certainly a very knowledgeable and effective fisherman as well as a great seaman - but I have to say his skipper Tito seems to be even better as a fisherman and seaman! Sorry for this Anthony - but I have to give a totally truthful report! This time I managed to cope well with the conditions and was soon eating the sandwiches provided and soft drinks as well as water - I refused the rum! Well this trip gave variety, a number of mahi mahi again, a couple of barracuda, a cero mackerel or blue runner and a blackfin tuna or albacore. Then came the icing on the cake!! A couple of shouts and I was then hurriedly handed a rod and screaming reel with the words "here is your white marlin!!" Well there then commenced a fight for around 30 minutes with a fish that initially spent as much time out of the water as in the water!! We had previously agreed that all and any billfish caught were to be released unharmed with no such fish kept. Ordinarily the practice of the boat is that fish would be quickly unhooked at the side of the boat but as a marlin would be my first ever on this occasion a fish would be brought aboard without use of a gaff, quickly photographed and then returned. That is exactly what happened and I have great photos and memories! The fish was estimated to be "at least 120lb" We returned it straight away as I saw no need to measure it and it was a delight to see it swim stronger away after a short recovery time. Thanks again to all involved especially Anthony and Tito!! A few more mahi mahi followed until it was time to return, long after the time booked again, but no more billfish seen. Again however lots of sargasso weed made fishing a challenge. I joined Anthony and a friend of his the following day on marlin fever. The boat was participating in a Caribbean wide tournament the following 3 days and they wanted to practice! We had another great day with numerous mahi mahi caught but unfortunately no more marlin. All in all these days must be amongst the best fishing days I have had in my life. A great boat with great equipment, high quality rods and reels and a knowledgeable and helpful hard working crew led by a superb skipper. An owner in Anthony Perez who does everything possible to ensure that every client has a truly successful and memorable time. I am sure I will be back!! Thanks again!!

Solid fun guaranteed! - Would highly recommend Marlin Fever for deep sea fishing trip. Tito and Ruben took care of us without a doubt and when my wife got sick even though it cut our trip slightly short made sure that she was comfortable. In the short time we were out we caught 3 white Marlin 2 roughly 6 foot and 1 around 8 ft. Will definitely be contacting for my next visit.

Good tour, but on our day the fish... -
Good tour, but on our day the fish were not biting... So we only caught one little yellowtail. It was still a nice boat ride, and the crew really tried. The hotel transfer was actually the best we had out of three tours that we took. On time, good driver Nicolas, no other stops.

Crappy boat and to expensive shop around you can do much better !!! - First and foremost the boat is very unstable. It was a fairly calm day, 1 to 2 foot seas and the boat was rocking like it was 5 to 6 foot. I actually got sick I never get sick. The diesel smell is horrible and I think that’s what really got me sick on top of the rocking and rolling to add insult to injury when I got off the boat there were several other more modern bigger boats so I asked what their price was and they only charge $550 for a half a day I feel I got taken advantage of and I will never recommend these people again.

Terrible all around on a beautiful day - If I could give negative stars I would. First it was Not the boat in the pictures, and the first mate not to great at keeping it interactive for the guests and basically couldn't communicate with us due to language barrier. If i had of went alone i would have sit in silence for the 6hours as they did nothing to educate us or teach us techniques.I understand it's fishing not catching, but if there are no bites why are we not changing things up in the 6hrs out. Overall worst charter I have been on and I have done 10 in the last 7 years. Trolling fish across the top of the sea with no deep lines or down rigging. Just lost by this whole concept and feel like i could have rented a boat and done better with my limited knowledge of the area and my knowledge of fishing. I would highly NOT RECOMMEND using this team and going elsewhere. We booked on fishingbooker.com
