This was literally the... - This was literally the highlight of our trip! It was a little interesting at first like getting there, you stop at a gas station but then after that you’ll be on your way to paradise! The tour guide and crew members were so much fun, and did an amazing job of getting us there and then getting us off the island and back to our resorts. I can’t recommend this day trip enough!! The water is absolutely beautiful! A must do!

Worth it - Scenery was gorgeous...undeveloped, natural coastline. Small boat was a little bumpy but we weren't on it too long. The natural pool was relaxing and fun. The island was very crowded; they take too many people there at once. They didn't warn us that there was very sharp coral in the water and my husband cut himself pretty good. As a whole, it was good and worth it just to see that beautiful water and coastline. We only left the resort one day and it was the perfect thing to do.

Good - We fully enjoyed our day trip to Saona Island because the stop at the natural swimming pool was amazing (10/10) and the trip was fun. It could have been much better if we weren't so rushed and the boat wasn't so crammed full. We only got 30 minutes at the natura6 swimming pool, and roughly an hour at Saona Island. The meal was ok but could be improved by providing some sauce with the chicken. It was pretty dry. Other aspects of the trip were good.

Wonderful Day at Natural Pools and Saona Island - Today, my family, friends, and I, along with our children, visited the natural pools and Saona Island as part of an excursion organized by the tour desk at our Bravo Palace Viva by Wyndham hotel. Starting with the natural aspect of the experience, it was truly positive. The natural pools are stunning, and although we could only admire the giant starfish from the catamaran, I appreciated the operators’ efforts to protect the environment. Apparently, just last year, hundreds of starfish died due to careless tourism. At Saona Island, we had the benefit of using the resort’s beach, with lunch and drinks included. While the meal was simpler with fewer options, both the meat and fish were excellent, and I appreciated the dedication of all the staff, as well as the beauty of the location. We were also fortunate with the catamaran trip, which had far fewer people on board compared to other boats that would stay out until the evening—some of those appeared to carry up to 100 people, which, in my opinion, is far too many. Our “combo” tour had us back by 4:30 PM, giving us plenty of time for a snack and another swim in the ocean before sunset. If I were to do this excursion again, I would definitely choose the same setup!

It a snorkeling tour and no water. - 1. Bring your own water. They will offer water on the beach we’re they serve lunch and that is all. There will be an hour bus ride each way with long waits in the sun to board the boats as well as a 30 minute swim off the boat. NO WATER! 2. This is not a snorkeling tour. After you arrive at the beach the will pull the boat up to the an old pier and let you Jim out if you would like. Bring your own gear. They only provide the masks. No snorkels or fins. After a few minutes they will deliver you to the beach. 3. You will travel one direction in a very small Speed boat. You will have a bruised back from the ride the next day. 4. The other direction will be on the catamaran.

Not what we expected - Everything was very crowded. First with the catamaran you are shoulder to shoulder and the boat is loud and far from relaxing. It didn’t help that our tour had people literally passing out and vomiting on our boat. Once at the island it is far from a secluded beach. It was very crowded and by the time we debarked and ate on the island we had very little time to actually enjoy the island before having to head back. In short if you are looking for a nice relaxing trip this isn’t it. If you are looking for a crowded party boat then this is for you.

Unreliable - Unfortunately I have to give miguel 1 star. Initially responses were great until money was collected. When I decided to cancel the trip within the timeframe to get back my deposit, I was told my refund was to be returned (360$), its been over 3 months of trying to get in contact with him and it has been a nightmare to get at least some of the deposit back. Miguel prides himself on being “reliable” but to me is not an honest man. Good luck if you choose him.
