A real paradise - I’m from Philadelphia and visiting Saona Island was honestly the best part of my trip to the Dominican Republic. The water was crystal clear, the beach was stunning, and the whole vibe was super relaxing. The crew made everything so easy – from the boat ride to the food and drinks. It didn’t feel overly touristy, more like a true Caribbean escape. I’d absolutely recommend this tour, it’s totally worth it.

This island is an earthly jewel. What I liked most, besides its beautiful beaches, was the buffet at noon, what a delight.

Saône Island an inexhaustible paradise - Getting to Saône Island was like getting to paradise EN land the most beautiful thing I saw and DE must highlight for nature lovers, the beaches are paradise and the well-kept vegetation is worth doing this tour.

Sauna Island Tour was worth every penny. - Best experience ever. My family had so much fun and can’t get their mind off the experience. It was way more than we expected and paid for. Value worth the price. I’ll definitely recommend this to anyone and we are definitely coming back.

an unforgettable aquatic adventure - My wife and I took this tour of Punta Cana beaches and the truth is it was an incredible experience that I want to relive on my next vacation. The party on the catamaran was great and the lunch at noon was a delicious buffet and the guides were wonderful. I recommend it.

I didn't know I needed Saona Island... until I lived there - I don't usually write reviews, but this experience deserves it. From the first moment I saw the water change from deep blue to crystal-clear turquoise, I knew this place wasn't like the others. Saona Island isn't just a day trip… it's a break. A gift I didn't know I needed. I boarded the boat with normal expectations and disembarked the island with a calm soul. I walked barefoot on the white sand, swam in the clear waters, and felt something rarely felt on trips: true peace.

a walk towards the tranquility that many of us need - This was a wonderful experience as I also made peace with my children who had distanced ourselves due to family conflicts. I think the tranquility of the island and the natural environment also contributed to everything. I personally recommend this trip to anyone who feels stressed for whatever reason. I'm sure when you return from this trip you will feel different.

Saona, what a paradise! - Since we boarded the boat for Saône Island, the special vibe was already noticeable. Hey, this is something else! A heavenly corner in the heart of the Caribbean. The water is so crystal clear that it looks edited, and the clear sand makes you feel like you're walking on cotton. The Mood is vibrant, tropical, with that perfect mix of good music, sea breezes and people who welcome you with genuine warmth. From the first moment, I knew that this walk would be unforgettable.

Shockingly bad don’t book it - This trip was not at all what I was expecting I would highly advise you not to book it but if you want to go to Saona island to book via your hotel for a more professional experience. First of all our collection time was changed to 7.30am instead of 8.00am I had booked, very short notice change the night before. This already made me twitchy as I read a very bad review posted recently including this same point and after I had booked and was starting to regret my decision. The excursion was stated to be 7-8 hours but we were out for 12 whole hours and not in a way that added value to our day or holiday. It felt like a massive waste of time for the most of the trip and was hugely disappointing and different to what was stated on the description. Out of those 12 hours the activities included just 2 hours on Saona island in the end and 40 mins at the lagoon. Then we spent 45 minutes on a speed boat to get there and 1 hour 40 on catamaran to return with no seats left by the time we boarded after the 4 other boats so we sat on the floor. We then were exposed to extremely loud music blaring from the speakers as they announced it was a party boat vibe on the way back which is not what was included in the trip description, had it been I would definitely not have booked. That left the remaining 7 hours were spent being transferred on various buses to gather all the guests with lots of waiting time at every stop including one at a random petrol station, felt very unsafe. Plus a toilet stop at a local store which felt designed to help with selling to tourists. We were also waiting on pavements at the port for half an hour in both directions with no drinks in the blazing sun. Communication was very limited due to the slack organisation and limited English speaking staff despite when booking it stated English was accommodated. It is advertised as an All inclusive trip including food snacks and lunch, but only drinks offered was rum and Coke (no bottled water or anything suitable for my child and any other alcohol had to be paid for on top). There were no snacks provided and the lunch at the island was shockingly bad and hygiene lacking. The island and lagoon experience were also bad with so many other boats descending on these areas of beauty it felt like you were on a tourist conveyor belt. There was no reef site included in the tour like it mentions on the description either. Al in all it was a stressful experience, not relaxing at all and a waste of a full day of our 1 week holiday and I would like a refund and asked for one but Viator rejected my request. Please reconsider.
