Horrible experience - do not use this company - Viator review This company was horrible to work with from beginning to end. I messaged them multiple times through the Viator app to confirm my reservation and they never responded. They withdrew my money 3 days before my booking but they could not bother to respond. I finally called them 2 days before my reservation and they ignored the call but responded via message on WhatsApp. They then said I needed to pay an extra $30 to go to the hotel I specifically noted in my booking and in my multiple messages. They claimed that my booking was to the airport, it was not, because I wasn’t leaving the country for another week, I was going to a different part of the island which I entered in my booking. I agreed to the extra charge and they confirmed my pick up for 9am. On the day of my reservation, I called them at 8:58am to ask if they could send me a message when they were outside so I could bring my luggage out. They did not respond but then sent a message saying the driver was “a few minutes away” and was delayed due to an incident in the highway with a truck. The driver didn’t arrive for another hour. At this point the person on WhatsApp said they would waive the $30 fee for going to my hotel, which again was a lie to begin with. When the driver arrived he told me where he was coming from, which was a town an hour away. He denied any issues in the drive and said he was told of this reservation that morning and had rushed to come pick us up. This driver then took us to Santo Domingo from las Terrenas and we had to switch vehicles and drivers. The new vehicle was falling apart. The windows wouldn’t open, one of the window sidings was falling off and the entire car rattled which made for a very uncomfortable experience in a 2.5 hour drive. To top it off, the driver was sick and coughing the entire way, in a vehicle with windows that do not go down while he was not wearing a mask to protect us from whatever was making him cough. When I contacted the company to express my concerns, they doubled down on their lies about the truck incident causing a delay even after I told them the driver told us the truth. I would never recommend this company, they are unprofessional and their vehicles are old, unreliable and uncomfortable. There’s better companies out there, do not use this one.
