A must do when time is limited - The tour surprised us in so many ways. Our tour guide Hugo and Captain Alex picked us up from the hotel’s private pier, to give us a private tour of Uros Islands. Hugo’s commentary and history, not to mention his translating, was exceptional. He was extremely friendly, and we finished the tour feeling more than satisfied with our early morning, departure and newfound knowledge. I would strongly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to experience the islands yet a little limited on time. The three hour timeframe was just perfect. Hugo and the family we met even helped us entertain our mascots for photos!! Congratulations Hugo and Alex on an exceptional job. Well done.

Floating island visit from Puno - Samuel met us at our hotel and took us down to the boats. Lots of great conversation about the local area and traditions. On. Board the boat well on time and advice on the best place to sit / best views. Very knowledgeable on the traditions and languages of the area and the indigenous people of the floating islands, being from there. Stunning views on the journey out. We had great weather which was an advantage. The people are so friendly and the islands are so interesting. Samuel gave us a personal presentation on the island. We took the additional boat trip from 1 floating island to another. We loved that. Then got our passports stamped. Many thanks to Samuel for his care and attention on this trip. If you’re tight on time in Puno the 3 hour trip is a good choice.

Worth it! - It was a very unique and interesting experience. Interacting the locals was the best part. However make sure you take cash with you as the “optional” boat ride is an extra 15 sols and is not really optional. You will be forced onto the boat by the local Uros women. It has been a memorable and a once in a lifetime experience for me. Highly reccomend it.
