Great class to learn about cacao and chocolate and to make some of your own! - Great class if you’re looking to learn this history of the cacao plant and some history of the area in general. We basically made the chocolate from bean to bar, tasting it at all different stages and everyone got to participate in all the processes. Learned quite a bit and had fun and some tasty snacks in the process! Highly recommend.

Sacred wisdom of cacao - One of the very best workshops I’ve ever done. Ansell is truly a font of deep wisdom and honours the sacred tradition of the cacao plant. You will never see chocolate again in the same light!

The Talamanca chocolate tour was just wonderful. - This chocolate tour exceeded our expectations. We learned a lot about the cacao plant including what it needs to produce, but also the history of the area and how chocolate production has progressed. We participated in several activities and tasted the bean at various stages. We appreciated that the presentation was coherent, organized and allowed for questions without getting off topic. We left with a feeling of respect for chocolate along with little chocolate bars to enjoy later.

Great experience! - Really enjoyed this class. We learned so much more than we could’ve expected. Much respect and appreciation for the teacher’s kindness and awareness of the history of the cacao plant as well as the detrimental impacts of globalization on the lands, animals, and the people who grow cacao trees across the equator.
