Great insight into the history and production of chocolate - Great workshop with lots of information about cocoa and its history. Ancel knows a lot and shares her knowledge freely. We learned about all the stages of chocolate production and were able to try each one 😄 The whole atmosphere on the plantation was very relaxed, from the people to the many animals. Thank you very much!

Great class to learn about cacao and chocolate and to make some of your own! - Great class if you’re looking to learn this history of the cacao plant and some history of the area in general. We basically made the chocolate from bean to bar, tasting it at all different stages and everyone got to participate in all the processes. Learned quite a bit and had fun and some tasty snacks in the process! Highly recommend.

Sacred wisdom of cacao - One of the very best workshops I’ve ever done. Ansell is truly a font of deep wisdom and honours the sacred tradition of the cacao plant. You will never see chocolate again in the same light!

Not what I expected - The lady seemed passionate about chocolate making but this class was basically hours of just listening to her talk about the origins of chocolate which got pretty boring after 1 hour. I had hoped for more of a hands on experience which we barely got to do. She let us crack open some cacao beans and that was it. Eventually we got to taste the chocolate which she literally told us would be gross because they are not meant to be eaten. Even the hot chocolate she made for us was bitter and had no flavor.
