Highlights
  • Boca de Tomatlan - We’ll meet up at the Romantic zone. There we´ll take a sweet ride on public transportation just like the locals do. It’s a 25 min ride along the coast, where you’ll get to see most of the southern beaches of PV. After the ride, we’ll get to a small fishing town call Boca de Tomatlán (first beach) where we’ll start our adventure. Then we’ll be hiking approx. 30 min to the smallest beach known in Mexico (A hot spot for people visiting PV).
After a refreshing bath, we’ll make our way to the next 4 beaches including my favorite (you will love it). Finally hiking through the jungle and beaches we’ll make our way to our final destination Las Animas beach. Where you’ll get to try great seafood like you haven’t tried in PV yet. (the food in the restaurant is not included)
To put the cherry on the cake we’ll make our way back by boat to where we started. On this ride, you’ll see the bay from a different perspective. Once we get to the pier, we’ll make our way back to the bus stop and then back to the city.

Exploring little corners - If you like exploring, adventure and being in contact with nature, this is an excellent way to do it; The degree of difficulty will depend on your physical condition, if you regularly walk or jog, it will be a pleasant walk. The beaches alone are incredible, as are all the views you have of the sea and the jungle. Knowing curious facts about the place and the local people definitely expands your desire to continue traveling.

Great value for a great adventure with great people! - We had a fantastic day thanks to our guide Issac and the great group we where sharing the adventure with! Colomitos was our first stop and it did not disappoint. The colour of the water and the beach is beautiful. The water was very refreshing after completing the first part of our hike, which was moderately challenging as described. Issac was a fantastic guide giving our group stops along the way to rest if needed and to point out the local flora and fauna. He is very knowledgeable and friendly and was open and eager to share information about the area and culture and was genuine in his interest in getting to know the people in the group. Highlights were meeting new people and exploring a new area, swimming and floating at Colomitos, and the stop for drinks at Playa Caballo. There is nothing better than fresh coconut water on a hot day!

A good Hike, But Don't Bring a Watch - Even as a fit 64 year old (I may have gotten my age wrong when I signed up...:) ), I was a little concerned about the difficulty of the hiking portion. Really, it was mostly a lot of steep stairs in two relatively small sections - nothing that anyone who's ever done a bit of hiking should worry about. Diego was a good guide, though many of the stops were on Mexican time ("We'll stop for twenty minutes" = about 35... final restaurant service was, shall we say, relaxed). If you can slow your clock down, it's a lovely hike with beach breaks and good food at the end.

Great! - Great hike and amazing views. Issac was our tour guide and was very nice! The hike is most of the day, so I recommend being in decent athletic shape to be able to do it. There are plenty of stops along the way to rest. Some areas have old wooden boards that you need to be careful crossing. Other people use this trail, so you won’t be the only people.

Good relaxed hike - Great relaxed hike along the beaches, loved the swim and restaurant at the end. The hike is 3 miles, snacks along the way but bring water and cash. Rocco was nice and relaxed. Unique experience, I didn’t know this part of puerto existed.

Fun day, bring cash if interested in boat ride back. - We had a great tour. I do suggest having proper runners as those that did not have them struggled a bit. Also, at the end there is an option to take a 40 min public bus back to the meeting point (included in cost), or to pay 250 pesos and take the boat to PV. If you are interested, make sure to have the cash with you.

Great hike - Of course, the views are amazing in the area. The beaches we visited were great but most of all, I really enjoyed the hike. I didn’t think it was going to be that sporty but I really loved it.

Best excursion - I traveled in Solo and decided to do this excursion, and the truth is it was the best of my trip. Because? Because the tour is not expensive and offers you very beautiful landscapes, you have to have moderate physical conditions because you do walk but it is worth it to visit those 6 beaches. Besides, the guides are super cool, you quickly gain confidence, thank you very much Isaac, Oscar and Alex. I also had the opportunity to meet new people and make friends, so we are still friends and we will return together next year! Thank you for this excursion, it was wonderful!!!!

Would choose another company for this trip - The public bus drive was not the best experience but they offer water taxi for additional charge back to PV. The trail itself was Ok, not the hardest just watch your steps, our kids 8-11yo could do it without any issues. Our guide was nice but didn't tell us about the area or nature, just a couple of sentences during the trip: "this is the first beach, we will stay here for...minutes". The other guide with a large group was very knowledgeable and was talking all the time - I wish we were with him as with our we didn't learn anything about the area. Also they bring you to a prearrange overcrowded restaurant on Los Animals where you have to eat if you want to take the water taxi to a nearest town. But the other part of Las Animals is much nicer and not crowded at all, I feel really bad that we were restricted (for our own money) to order food at that restaurant and anyway paid for the boat back to PV.
