Highlights
  • Quimixto - The Adventure begins in Marina Puerto Vallarta. From here the boat will depart to take you to your first destination: The town of Quimixto. Once in Quimixto you will be accompanied by our guide through the rugged hiking trail for the next 35 minutes. Nature will offer you opportunities to photograph incredible landscapes.
The next stop is where the real reward is found. For all the effort made on the walk, there is a restaurant that will offer you delicious local food and refreshing drinks. Right next to the restaurant there is an impressive 33 foot-high waterfall (August-January) that will surely cool you off even on the hottest day. To end the day off, our last destination is a true gift from Mother Nature. The National Marine Park of Los Arcos, is a beautiful natural sanctuary inhabited by a colorful variety of tropical fish and is one of the most iconic places in all Puerto Vallarta. Snorkeling is available for those who are interested in discovering the under water beauty that Los Arcos has to offer.

Best PV Activity - Everything about this boat tour and company was amazing. Ashley was able to find and make availability for my group and I to take this trip on their calendar. She was also very responsive to any questions we had before the trip. Fernando was a welcoming and genuinely good captain and person. Mitzon was a fabulous snorkel guide and lead during our time in Quimixto. I really can’t speak highly enough of this tour. Would love to schedule another tour with them on my return to PV. The boat was well kept and fantastic. The drinks and food were delicious! Thank you for an amazing adventure in PV.

Fun day oh the water and land - Fernando and his assistant Nixon were phenomenal. A day of fun on both land and water. The hike up to the waterfall has a couple of moderate sections, but generally is an easy hike.

So fun, adventurous, & relaxing! - We loved our day on La Vida Bella! The snorkeling was fun, the guac was delish, and the hike to the waterfall for lunch was just delightful!

Fernando does it best! - I’ve done many guided tour excursions and Fernando’s was BY FAR the best. He struck the perfect balance between friendly and informative while also allowing the private group dynamics to guide the pace and vibe of the excursion. The boat itself was well maintained and comfortable. I appreciated the padded seats and the ample shade covering. The gear was clean and in good condition. There were plenty of drinks and good tunes to go around. Plus, the guacamole was the best I’ve ever had! We considered just doing a snorkel excursion but decided to add the Quimixto portion and I am so glad we did. The town was charming, and the waterfall was incredible. The hike was fairly easy, through sand and water (I was glad I wore my tevas). The food at the restaurant at the top is nothing special, but the atmosphere is incredible. Plan to jump into the cool pool at the base of the waterfall; or, if you’re feeling brave, jump off the 30-40 foot cliff! 10/10 would recommend booking with La Vida Bella! Our group is already planning a return trip :)

Every good thing you’ve read is true! - I went on the snorkeling + hiking tour with La Bella Vida today and it was incredible. INCREDIBLE. We went with a group of 8 friends and we were genuinely amazed by the experience and especially by the hospitality of Fernando. We read reviews before our trip and we had heard that Fernando was so great: true. We had heard that the guacamole was so great: true. We had heard that people were thrilled and would be happy to repeat their experience: true! I can’t say enough good things about Fernando. Also, Quixoto was such an amazing cultural experience. We felt like we had such a unique opportunity! The waterfall at the end of the hike was SO MUCH FUN. We did some cliff jumping and ate at the restaurant up there after swimming, which was delicious. Such a great day. At dinner tonight my friends and I all agreed that we’d absolutely repeat this entire day!
