As daylight fades and the beaches of Puerto Vallarta clear of tourists, the city begins to buzz with the lively energy of its dynamic food culture. Accompanied by our passionate culinary guides, meander through the historic lanes of Vallarta’s most ancient districts, indulging in an assortment of tacos and sweet delicacies from traditional family-operated eateries and street vendors, pillars of our city’s long-established gastronomic fame.
Your itinerary includes five appetizing stops where you’ll sample 6 to 8 different meals or tacos, contingent on your gustatory courage. Pit stops for freshly-prepared churros and artisan ice cream are also part of your journey. Some of the culinary delights and tacos that you might discover on your tour include arrachera, conventional pastor, shrimp taco, cabeza, pork rib taco, enmolada, tacos dorados, adobada, ice cream, and churros.

Great tacos/Great experience. - My family took this tour with Ricky. I loved the history that he gave us with each location, the owners, etc. The food was great and we thoroughly enjoyed seeing a part of Puerta Villarta that we would have missed.

Delicious! - The best way to see PV! Our tour guide was wonderful and shared all kinds of information about the food we were trying. Each stop had their own unique take. Highly recommend! Come hungry!!!

Great guide for local food - Ricky was a great guide! Super knowledgeable about the places we went, and gave great recommendations for restaurants or taco stands for breakfast/lunch as well. I’d recommend going at the start of your trip, so you have time to go back to your favorites later on!

Don't miss this fun and interesting experience in Puerto Vallarta. - This taco tour was one of the highlights of my recent trip to Puerto Vallarta. Our guide Jenny was a wealth of knowledge and proud of her Mexican Heritage. Very kind and acommodating to special dietary needs. This is a great tour for families with children who are able to walk 8 blocks or so or a fun and interesting date for couples. Some of the different stops are almost across the street from each other. If you don't like too much spice you will be fine. She explains all of the different salsas and condiments from flaming hot to ultra mild "baby salsa". Our tour also included a stop at a wonderful light as a feather churro stand and concluded at a Mexican ice cream shop with too many choices to count.
Worth every peso and by the time the tour is over you will have had many styles of tacos and more than enough for a complete meal.

Taco Delights - A great introduction to the taco delights of Puerto Vallarta. The tour had variety, exercise, and was well-paced. Kaitlyn was a knowledgeable and experienced guide who guided the eleven of us through different parts of the city. The churro experience in the middle and the ice cream at the end were a welcomed variation.

A taco immersion! Fun, delicious, insightful. - We did not know of the variety of tacos and every one was delicious. We especially enjoyed that all places we visited are small family owned businesses. Our Guide, Gustavo, was wonderful and explained the history of the Vallarta area and the differences In the food we sampled. He was a delight and knowledgeable. We highly recommend this tour. It is well worth the cost. Be sure to go hungry. You have a lot of food, including dessert!

A delightful and delicious Taco Tour ! - My husband and I are both foodies and this tour was delicious and fun. We are both in our mid-seventies and the walk is very manageable. Our guide, Gustavo, gave us insight into the history of the Vallarta area and of the food we ate. He was charming. Who knew how interesting the variety of tacos could be? The tour is well worth the cost.

The Perfect Taco Tour in Puerto Vallarta - We recently had the opportunity to enjoy The Tacos After Dark Tour in Puerto Vallarta. Stephen was our amazing host for the evening. The tour was truly exceptional, offering a unique and delicious way to explore the vibrant food scene of Puerto Vallarta. It felt more like a local tour with a friend taking us to his favorite local spots. Stephen (a resident of this part of Puerto Vallarta, was able to share interesting insights and stories along the way. Without even asking, Stephen was nice enough to make changes during the evening to accommodate the pickier eaters of our crew.
The variety of tacos we tried were absolutely delicious, showcasing the authentic flavors of Mexican cuisine.
Highlights include (but are not limited to)
-The savory chicken mole at Fonda Cucon
-The volcan al pastor and crazy pineapple tricks of Juan Carlos at Tacos Sahuayo
-The warm fluffy sweet churros from The Churro Man.
and many other moments that made this evening perfect.
I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a fun and flavorful culinary adventure in Puerto Vallarta. Thank you, Stephen, for an unforgettable evening! This was clearly the best taco tour of the lot touring the area that evening.

Family Taco Tour - Ricky, our guide, took us around old town PV on a Saturday night. It was fun to be out and about during quite the party scene. Ricky seemed a bit tired and quiet but satisfied the goal of filling our bellies with delicious tacos! I would recommend this tour to people who want to experience the night scene and try out a wide range of tacos.
