E-Bike Alternate - We originally booked this as an E-bike tour. However, when we were practicing in the Soriana's parking lot, one of the pedals did its surge when I was trying to stop and dismount. Lost some skin off the back of my calf and decided that these contraptions were not for me. First-aid was prompt, and we asked if we could either get a refund or credit towards a different tour. We were offered the same tour in a van with A/C. On the day of the tour, we were met by guide and driver as promised. We had the four of us driving around the old part of town in a 15-passenger van. Props to our driver for getting that boat through some very tight spots. Our guide was full of information and knew quite a lot about the history of PV. Our tour would include three taquerias and some local attractions. We were able to accomplish it much quicker without the bikes. The first taco stop was Sonorita's where the specialty is tacos al pastor. Pork and pineapple roasted on a wood-fired tompo, or vertical grill, served on a white corn taco. There was the usual four sauce accompaniment of guacamole, spicy, freakin' hot and OMG it burns! I try to avoid the OMG, preferring a mix of the freakin' hot and guacamole. The tastiest of the three places we tried. Mexican tacos are piled with the goodies, too. The second stop was Memo's Grill for a couple of asada (steak) tacos. It's a street stand with some plastic chairs and tables for seating. The asadas were very tasty. Memo's also makes a mean quesadilla. The final stop was Tacos Gonzalez for some cabeza (cow's cheek) tacos. It looks like marinated pulled pork. Tasty in its own way. The seating area is a couple of planks and footstools. After trying out the taco offerings, we browsed a leather shop and climbed the old lighthouse viewpoint at Faro Matamoros, over in the Gringo Gulch area. After squeezing the van out of the narrow roads we asked for a drop off on The Malecon in order to enjoy our last sunset of the vacation. We had a very enjoyable time. Our guide was excellent. Highly recommended. But beware those E-bike contraptions.

Make New Friends and Memories - We covered a lot of ground! Hugo, our guide, was very patient as he had to fix my bike chain when it came off a couple of times. We were fortunate to be biking with other friendly bikers. The group members were very supportive of one another. Tacos were delicious and gave us an opportunity to chat with each other. There wasn’t much history offered but we saw a lot of PV. Highly recommended for a different experience.

Best way to kick off our trip! - We did the ebike, taco, and tequila tour on our first day in PV, and not only was it a fantastic way to get a lay of the land—we were also immediately immersed in the food and friendliness of the locals. Hugo is a fantastic guide and also took tons of photos and videos for us. Since we were on a solo couples trip, we didn’t get a ton of pictures on this trip outside of selfies—thanks to copious snaps Hugo captured, we have some non-selfies!Knowledgeable, thoughtful, and kind—we had the best time on this tour with Hugo. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip! The tacos were absolutely delicious, and the tequila tasting educational and smooth as 100% blue agave. Will be recommending this tour to everyone! And it seemed like the other guides are great, too; we chatted with another guide who was doing the van tour, and he seemed equally as delightful. Admittedly, I wasn’t looking forward to the e-bike assist—seeing as we bike often at home, I didn’t think I’d need it. I definitely did! PV has some steep hills and uneven, stone cobbles. That e-assist was a life saver! Don’t sleep on this tasty taco tour!

Incredible e-bike taco and tequila tour! - The sites and tacos were awesome! Although I like our tacos in Canada better, it was really cool to taste authentic food in old PV and see how they are made. The people here are warm and friendly … Hugo, Maurizo y Alexandro are all really informative and a lot of fun! It was also cool to taste the tequila that we wouldn’t have been able to get at home. The whole experience was totally worth every centavo!

Can’t say enough on how much we enjoyed this tour! - If we could give this e-bike tour a 10 we would. The e-bikes were easy to operate and in great condition. Hugo knew the city well. Hugo took us to many spots in just the 3 hours we had and knew all the merchants everywhere we went. He was able to carefully guide us through the city traffic safely. Best of all he made it an exciting adventure with his amazing knowledge of the city, biking through narrow streets, hills and cobblestone roads, unexpected places w amazing views, great eating spots and he even helped take the photos. It truly was the highlight of our trip! Thank you Hugo & Las Veranos Tours 💯

E biking in PV with loads of taco fun. - Had a fabulous e-bike taco tour with Hugo as our guide. The bikes were sturdy and perfect for the incredibly poor road conditions of PV. I was so pleased with our stops at exquisite taco stands around various parts of town. Was an early start on the Malacon so traffic was easy to bike through then headed up the hills to out of this world stops for tacos. Hugo kept us safe and guided always with a smile. You need your Witt’s on this tour to avoid the potholes etc.

We would do this tour... - We would do this tour again. It was just myself a friend and the guide. We had no experience on a e-bike but he gave us an overview of the bikes and let us try in the parking garage. Great beginning and accommodating! Our guide was young and energetic as well as caring and knowledgeable. The tour through the old streets and the taco stops were amazing. Lots of photo ops. As well as a few shops. Great way to spend the late afternoon. We would highly recommend!
