Ebike Mountain Tour - We wanted to try out ebikes to see if we would like to buy some Canada. The Westjet rep said the mountain tour would be easy if you had not experience. He was wrong. The tour was great since it was only the two of us. Our guide, Alex, was a great personal conversationalist. The ride was steep going up the side of the mountain but the ride through town was great. The guide said the ride was for intermediate not beginners. It was ranked as 7.5 out of 10. Just to be warned.

Super Fun E-Bike Ride - The pick up point at the Sorianna Market was convenient and easy to find. After a quick check-in, we received a briefing about the e-bikes that we were to use. The e-bikes were not pedal-assisted bikes but were capable of running solely on an electric motor. The motor power could be varied with a throttle control on the handlebars. We practiced a bit in the parking lot of the market until we all felt pretty comfortable. If you can ride a bicycle you can ride an e-bike. This particular tour was billed as a mountain bike ride and that's what it was. We rode through old town PVR and up into the hills above town. Definitly a bit of a work out and I would suggest if you don't engage in walking or other regular cardio exercise this might not be the trip for you. The company offered a tour around town which would be for the beginner or anyone not too sure of their level of fitness. That being said, I'm 66 and had no issues completing the tour. The guides were super friendly and very helpful always keeping us safe while crossing intersections and guiding us along. My wife and I had a blast and would do this tour again!

Excellent experience wish great guides - This is a wonderful way to see areas you're unlikely ever to explore on your own. The guides were wonderful and really went out of their to make a good experience for us. The restaurant at the top of the mountain was excellent. We got to help make fresh tortillas on the traditional method (fresh corn all the way to cooking over woodfire). The e-bike (a new experience for me) lets you do as much (or little) work as you want, so you still can get a nice workout without worry of struggling up the hills.

Great experience- Alexander was the best guide! - Our tour guide Alexander was great- fun, professional and always looking out for our safety! This is the way to see amazing parts of puerto Vallarta that you may not usually see, riding up in to the mountains with lush landscapes and beautiful little neighborhoods. The lunch at the top was amazing and it was fun to make homemade tortillas and taste and learn about tequila and mezcal with Hunter

Challenging outing - My husband loved this trip, but it was too challenging for me. The cobblestone were super bumpy through town and the trail was very bumpy as well. Cars traveled on the same road that we were on up in the hills as well as the city. Omar was super helpful and stayed with me, as I slowly went up the road. I am 64 and in shape however I do not ride bikes frequently. Alexander and Brian were our other guides and did a great job. It was very pleasant to hang out at the restaurant at the top but I did get a ride in a vehicle back to town.

Great guides, but a tougher pedal than expected. - Hugo and Alejandro were great. The bikes could have been better. My wife and I each had to stop when chains came off on the bumpy roads, and her brakes were very hard to squeeze. The food at the rest point on the mountain was very good. It would have been nice to stop for a couple of photos on the Malecon, but the tour felt like we were just trying to get to the ranch quickly. I love biking, I was fine with this, but some of our tour group commented that they would have liked more stops.
