Puerto Vallarta Lusury Sunset Sail - We had a lovely time with Captain Silvino, Kelvin & Enrique. The boat is beautiful. We were served ceviche, charcuterie & wine. They attended to our every need. The sunset was amazing. This is a “don’t miss”. You will not be disappointed.

Not sure how it could have been better - We had a group of three couples and somehow, we ended up with the best seats in the house- up front! The crew was amazingly attentive, the appetizers REALLY good, the drinks tasty and plentiful- a beautiful sunset and a dolphin accompanied us for a while. The boat was beautiful. Not sure how it could have been better!

Beautiful and Fun - On our second to last night on our two week trip we decided to something different for us here in PV. We decided to go on this little adventure to sail into the sunset. We had already bought our tickets, so checking in was very easy. Here is where my only criticism comes into play. They should have told us in advance that you have to pay a nominal fee of 40 pesos per person before they issue your boarding pass. Not that was an issue ($3.00 American). But we didn’t have anything under a 500 peso note, and the attendant was low on change. So we charged it. There were only 24 passengers booked. And amazingly we were broken up into two groups of twelve assigned to two different boats. We were put on to a brand new vessel that was pristine. Because of our low group size there was a lot of space for each of the six couples on board. My partner and I took places towards the bow of the boat. We first motored through the harbor, but once through immediately the crew unfurled the sails and turned the engine off. So we slipped through the water sailing towards the setting sun. Immediately, the crew passed out various libations: liquor based, beer, wine, and nonalcoholic. After everyone had been served their first drink the crew brought out a very tasty shrimp cocktail and a basket of bread and crackers. This was soon followed by a charcuterie board. Very nice and delicious. Drinks were unlimited and the crew kept you satiated with beverages. The music that was playing was a perfect fit for the age group on board. A mixture of older easy rock that fit perfectly to the experience. The sunset was spectacular! As we watched the sun set into the ocean the sky turned a beautiful pink and the wispy clouds framed a darkening blue sky. As spectacular as the sunset was, the moonrise over the mountains was even more stunning. It was a full moon. As soon as it was dark we turned around and slowly sailed our way back to the dock. It was a great experience and a perfect evening. I really recommend this excursion. Hopefully you’ll get a beautiful sunset plus moonrise too.

Stellar experience!! - Wonderful experience! The appetizers were absolutely fabulous, the crew was so gracious and helpful and the SUNSET!!!

Great overall experience A++ - Tasty good snacks, great crew, awesome fellow cruisers, lotsa room and very relaxing. Dolphins were a great added experience.

We are sailing..... - Very enjoyable. Crew were great, plenty of mixed food and open bar. Uneventful sail around the bay for about 2.5 hours in total to witness a beautiful sunset. Dolphins even made an appearance. Boat not crowded at all which made the experience even better.

Well Worth it! - Well worth it! My family had a wonderful time! Very well organized, friendly and lots of drinks! The food was good and we got to see a lot of dolphins swimming along the boat as we were going back the dock.

Worth it! - The point of view of the bay from the sea, and the sunset are spectacular. Smooth sailing, good service…was a nice evening.

Not good if you are pregnant. - Was a beautiful view and trip, however I am pregnant and would not recommend it if you’re pregnant. The non alcoholic drinks on board were limited as was the food I was able to eat (had a selection of cheeses and meats, but that’s a no go for me) The mobility aspect was also challenging as it was hard to balance to walk to the front of the boat / I wasn’t comfortable sitting about 20 min in. It’s a longer cruise so that made it difficult. However, if I was not pregnant it probably would have been fine. Something to consider if you’re looking for activities to do in PV

Costco Gift Card for Vallarta Adventures Worthless - I feel deceived. I bought Costco gift cards for Vallarta Adventures that were about 33% off. But, 1) You must redeem them in person BEFORE being able to make a reservation so it requires an additional trek to the Vallarta Adventures office and 2) They are not combinable with any promotions. Without the card, you get a 30% discount if you book 4 days in advance. But with the card, you pay full price if you use the Costco card, negating any savings.
