- Mariposario Jardin Magico - At the butterfly sanctuary we’ll delve into engaging encounter with nature in all its beauty and diversity, lead by the most passionate guide, while learning about the life of butterflies. We’ll take a captivating stroll through subtropical sanctuary filled with breathtaking butterflies free-flying and dancing above you. At the end we’ll have a surprise for you; you’ll release butterflies and grant them first flight of their life!
Journey to the cocoa garden will take you back in time to the pre-Hispanic era, where you’ll discover origins of cocoa, its heritage, spiritual and cultural significance, you’ll master the fascinating art of ancient chocolate making and marvel at all the work it takes to transform cocoa beans into the rich and melt-in-your-mouth artisanal chocolate. You’ll visit cocoa tree garden and experience the enchanting indigenous world of cocoa and chocolate with all your senses. At the end all participants will be rewarded with a luscious cocoa ambrosia.

Beautiful Butterfly Experience - This was an AMAZING experience! I am a butterfly fanatic and was so excited to see this was an option. Fabian the guide is so knowledgeable and has worked hard to put the sanctuary together! The private transfer is so helpful to make it easy to get there. We had lunch at a local restaurant with Fabian it was delicious. DEFINITELY DO THIS TOUR

Butterfly Sanctuary - Awesome educational experience. Fabian was really excited about what he does and conveyed that to our group of a dozen people. The butterflies are gorgeous and we all learned more than we arrived knowing. Then the light lunch at Mexico Latte was very tasty and we had a fine time chatting with our new friends. Glad we went

A very worthwhile ecological experience tailored to your interest - The tour was very well designed and organized and so the entire experience was very informative. On a cool but sunny February day there were many, many species flying in the expansive garden enclosure as we strolled through the paths and occasionally stopped in seating areas for presentations and unhurried discussions with our guide, Fabian, who is the owner. He is an excellent communicator (english for us) and instructor on "all things butterfly." His dedication to educating the public on the ecological plight of many species especially butterflies, was sincere and part of the satisfaction from this tour was realizing that we were in part supporting this important educational out-reach.
This experience is well worth your time in Puerto Vallarta!

We love the Butterfly Sanctuary - We just got back home from our amazing tour of the Butterfly Magic Gardens - and I have to say: we were blown away! We got there early and got to walk around a little of the property - their lake, restaurant, and spa area (there is a traditional sweat house!). It's a huge property. Our tour with Fabian was so great - we learned a lot about the butterflies, their life cycles, how endangered they are - the different local species evidently only eat particular local endemic plants! And any pesticides on their food are deadly to them. It was an eye opener. Thank you Fabian for allowing us to experience your wonderful Butterfly Sanctuary! Please, please support this wonderful private enterprise to protect and learn more about our native butterflies!

Great to see such dedication at preserving biodiversity! - Worth the trip!
The tour to the butterfly was very educational... I wasn't sure what to expect but it was definitely worth the time. The tour facilitator, Fabian, has a passion for his work and it shows through the information he relays. The garden has many different species of butterflies as well as plants/flowers. The staff who run/maintain the sanctuary really do a great job at preserving a part of Puerto Vallarta's biodiversity.
Lunch was included in our tour and it was in a very spacious restaurant. The tamales were great, as was service.
I definitely recommend this tour!

Wonderful!! - Wonderful experience. Learned a lot about butterflies, eco systems, and how everything in nature is related. The hour long presentation was very educational. Anyone who cares about the environment and how all spieces interact will be delighted by this experience!!

Stunning and educational - Excellent day in a stunning environment! Fabian was so great at sharing his knowledge and passion. (And his ability to explain the life of a butterfly in layman’s terms was greatly appreciated!)

Touring PV and Visiting with Butterflies - This trip was amazing. Our guide shared so many interesting facts with us. It is obviously they have a passion for what they do. This is a must do if you are visiting Puerto Vallarta!!

Butterfly Sanctuary - Great experience for butterfly lovers. Fabian was very friendly, knowledgeable and excellent representative of the sanctuary. His dedication is admirable. We visited shortly after a hurricane passed near the location, but they managed to get things up and running again. My wife and I wish them luck and much success. The best part was that we were the only ones there during our tour time which made for an even more memorable experience.
