Additional Information

The Batak tribe, an endangered ethnic group in the Philippines, is increasingly rare. The Batak Visitor Center and Cultural Village was founded and the Kultura Batak Tourism Producers Cooperative was put together in an effort to conserve the customs and traditional lifestyle of these indigenous cultural communities, while also crafting job opportunities through tourism ventures. The collective operates an Arts and Crafts project that fabricates and retails ethnic handicrafts at the center’s memento shop. In order to enrich the cultural encounter and interaction with guests, traditional music performances and dances are featured in cultural displays. The tour comprises a visit to the visitor center and their exhibit. It also includes a trek to their mountainous village, offering a chance to observe their way of life first-hand. This is a community-focused sustainable tourism initiative. The package includes exclusive transportation via van with a driver and a tour guide for your group. Lunch is included as well.
