Alex with Puerto Plata Adventures is amazing - My girlfriend and I did this forest trek to natural swimming pool excursion through Shore Excursioneer. Alex with Puerto Plata Adventures was our tour guide. Alex was outstanding! He was extremely friendly and gave us time to ask questions and take pictures. We were the only ones doing the excursion, so we had a very good experience. Alex also went above and beyond by providing us complimentary snacks and drinks in the van on the way back from the excursion. My girlfriend also didn't have enough money to buy wet shoes for the excursion, so Alex paid for the wet shoes out of his own pocket. Excellent customer service! Good customer service is hard to find these days, so good customer service should be recognized and celebrated. I would definitely recommend Alex with Puerto Plata Adventures if you're looking for a fun/safe excursion. He'll take care of you while you're on vacation. Thanks a lot Alex! You made our time in the Dominican Republic memorable.

Good way to visit the lower waterfalls and learn about the local plants and wildlife - First, we were the only people booked that day, but the company didn't cancel on us - they gave us a private excursion instead. Xander was a very good guide with great knowledge of the area. About 8 years ago, we climbed up and slid down 12 of the 27 waterfalls. This tour is a flatter hike through the forest to the base of the final fall. You can just swim in the water, or climb up and slide down the final few falls.

Tony was the best! - We had the best time. I have back issues so this walk to the bottom of the falls was perfect. Then if someone in your group wants to do the slides or jump, they take you up and you can do a couple. It’s the best of both worlds. My husband didn’t miss out because my back issues and I got to swim and take the stairs up to take pictures. Tony was the best tour guide. He really cares about making it a great experience. He taught us about all the agricultural elements of the countryside. It’s a smalller tour (less people) which makes it much better. Bring cash to tip, they definitely earned it

Favorite part of my vacation! - I toured with Alex and Tony, with Alex as my personal guide. They were both amazing! I had the best time with Alex learning about local plants and wildlife, and swimming in the pool was so nice and refreshing. I'd love to come back and try sliding down the waterfalls!

Great Excursion! - Our group of six really enjoyed this excursion! Our guide Xander was informative and fun. Walk was not strenuous and we enjoyed swimming in the waterfall pool. Several in our group slid down the rocks and loved it. Xander and Tony made the ride back a lot of fun! Be prepared for a bit of a walk to meet the bus outside the port area but worth the walk! Highly recommend.

Maria says, “Chandler is neat!” - Chandler, our guide, did a great job! Explained lots of plants and local history. Waterfall and swim were amazing! The walk out to the falls was a little rockier than we expected in some spots, but beautiful nonetheless. We were able to jump and slide at the last waterfall, which was exciting! Educational, and fun at the same time. If you can request Chandler, do it, and tell him Maria and her family say he is neat! He was not familiar with the meaning of neat, and we had a good laugh about it a few times! Just so you know, the walk from the ship out to their van was a good 15-20 minutes, so be prepared. It’s mostly covered walkways, but it’s a good hike out of the cruise port. If you want more adventure and jumps, do the other one. This is an easier walking experience.

5 stars all around for everything - I think the biggest thing that makes a tour good, is the people that you are with from your friends to the guides. I can say that the guides made the whole experience that much more amazing. They add so much energy. The tour itself was amazing and such a great experience 5 stars all around.

Jordan was knowledgeable and friendly and made us all very comfortable. The natural pool was beautiful annd refreshing and, on our way back, we were treated to some delicious local punch and fresh pineapple. WOULD GIVE 500 STARS - This was easily the highlight of our trip! Pickup directions were clear and concise so we had no trouble finding the bus. The fun started the second we met our guides (Xander and Tony) Learned a lot of cool history about the country and culture on the way there, and that was just the tip of the iceberg as far as what we learned. We were with Xander and Angel for the rest of the trip, and they were both AWESOME. A perfect mix of knowledgeable, helpful, fun, and kind. The hike was beautiful and the natural waterfalls were breathtaking. The dancing and rum punch on the way back was the perfect icing on the cake! TAKE THIS TRIP! Thank you for an unforgettable day!!!
