Highlights
  • 27 Waterfalls of Damajagua - From the cruise port, we head West to arrive at the Damajagua Waterfalls, one of the highest rated attractions on the North Coast of the Dominican Republic.

Nature has crafted here some awe-inspiring pools, etched out of limestone, with stalactites and stalagmites in a thousand colors. To get to the Damajagua Cascades we have to hike about 20-30 minutes uphill, and then we make our way back down by swimming, jumping, and sliding through the refreshing, crystal-clear water.

  • Country World Adventure Park - From here your adventure continues as you make your way to the zip lines. After the mandatory safety briefing from the trained, professional staff, it’s time to feel the adrenaline on three different zip lines, certified and inspected upon ACCT standards.
No experience is required. Contrary to many other zip line parks you are not involved in any active breaking, like using gloves for stopping.

Zip and Dop - The waterfall adventure was awesome. Our guide was excellent! Little disappointed in the zip lining portion.

Friendly and fun - honest, friendly, aware of time for cruise ship guests. Our guide stopped at a local fruit stand so we could try fresh mangos. Madilyne and Juan Daniel were very nice.

A unique experience, bring good shoes - Pick up was about a 15 minute walk from the ship, located outside the main shipping area. This was a bit confusing but we managed. The waterfall jumping and slides were very memorable. The walk/hike to and from the waterfalls takes up most of the trip time. Wear comfortable shoes, something with support, you can get wet and muddy and will not give you blisters. The guides were very helpful and pleasant and made the experience fun and safe for everyone. The quick zip was fun and was 3 zip lines and lasted 15 minutes. The home made meal was amazing and tasty. The only issue was the van left when we went zip lining and it had all of our belongings on it. Everything was there but we did not know it was leaving and we needed our belongings. The zip lines are located on a working farm with lots of animals and some local art for purchase. Overall the guides were friendly, and helpful and we felt safe in an area that was rife with poverty and off the beaten path for tourists. Thank you to our taxi guide Carlos and the rest of his team.

Awesome and SO worth it!!! - This was such an amazing experience. The waterfalls were awesome!! The hike wasn’t too bad at all. But it’s definitely up hill for parts. The waterfall slides were so fun and majestic. I absolutely love the Dominican Republic now and would totally go do this again!! The map they send you is great. But just keep walking out of the gated area and then go left and walk past the parking lot with the big tree in the middle and you will see some guys holding signs. That’s where they were located for pickup. The lunch was SO good. The guides were all so friendly and helpful. They gave us bottled water. Plan to tip the driver and first guide, the two guides on the hike, the photographer and the ladies at lunch and the guys at the zip line. They were all amazing and totally deserve it! The photographer went above and beyond and took some awesome photos. Totally worth purchasing. So bring extra for that!! Totally made the trip.

Loved this excursion! - Tip-the meeting point is outside amber cove port. It’s about a 20 minute walk from the ship. The whole family loved this one. Definitely memorable.

Fun! Lots of waiting (and walking up mountain) - First , we went during spring break and it was very busy. We did waterfalls first which THIS company takes you to what appears to be the only company that does the waterfalls experience and there were a TON of people at the Falls - too many. We enjoyed the experience but it was a LOT of waiting. LADIES- bring a pair of spandex shorts for over your suit bottoms- the slides are bumpy and rub your bare skin. I’d honestly have paid more for LESS people - I felt like we waited and waited and waited and then only a couple jumps / falls. The company this excursion was through was nice. After the Falls we were driven 15 mins down the road JUST out bus, to do the zip lines . It was 2ish and everyone was STARVING but we did the zips first- bring a snack. The Zipline place was GREAT! The people working there were GREAT with my 7 year old , and our entire family. I realize we went at spring break , and being busy is expected - but imo the water falls place oversold.

Good Experience; Things to Know - We signed up for this adventure as part of our cruise. Overall, we had a great experience. The guides, photographers, and staff could not have been friendlier. Zero complaints!!! Here is what I would say that may help you to have a more enjoyable time. First, the shoes are not the best. We brought our own water shoes, and they were a train wreck. The ones offered by the park are not much better. If you have a tennis shoe version of a water shoe, wear it!!! If you have any back, neck, knee issues....I think I would avoid this. We all like to think it will not be a problem, but it will be. It indicated that lunch was provided....we were never offered that. It was a long day, and we were very hungry when it was all over. There were several groups moving along at the same time, so there were delays at the water falls and zip lines. Have fun!!

Great day! - Went with adult children (19-24) and had a fun time! Many of the waterfalls were dry because of the time of year, so we only did 7 but they were super fun and though the water was chilly, it wasn't freezing like I was afraid it would be. After pool jumping and sliding, we were taken back to the eco park for a quick zip and lunch. The ziplines were a little tame for us, but we still enjoyed them. The lunch was delicious and it was a buffet so everyone got as much as they wanted. Try the fried yucca - it's so good! Our guides were great and we really enjoyed them all. Be prepared to tip EVERYONE. Major corporations own these businesses and take half right off the top, so the people that work there really depend on their tips. You'll need to tip the driver of the bus, the guides, the photographer (tip over the cost of the photos, which was $20/person, so $100 for our group of 5), and the restaurant where you eat. If you're brave and have waterproof phone cases, you can skip the photographer and take your own photos. They're accommodating and will take pics of you with your own phone. If you do that, please tip them like you would if you were buying their package. Overall, we spent $475 for the excursion, $100 for photos, and another $60 on tips. A little spendy for sure, but everyone really enjoyed themselves.

Great excursion to take on your cruise! - The hike to the waterfall is no joke! But once that's over, even for someone afraid of the water, like myself, it was great. Our tour guide Kennedy was funny and super nice. The waterfall guides were funny and patient with those who were cautious and/or scared to jump. Unexpectedly, the ziplining was my favorite part! Then we were served an amazing lunch and stopped at a local shop. I do wish the photo was a Sat add-on price you could set up, you kind of feel a bit hustled at the end for the photos they took. I would still recommend the tour. We were on a cruise ship and we still got back in time to shop for souvenirs near port. Very fun excursion and great memories for my friends and me!

Waterfalls and zip line - Map provided to meet the driver and tour guide wasn't clear. The directions made it seem like they were right at the gate, not true. The waterfalls were great!! Very fun. Lots of people because other tours were there as well. Photographer took a lot of pictures, which was great, but they wanted $130 for them and we were unable to preview them. Zip lines: we only were able to go on three, were nothing special. Very short and a bit disappointing.
