Puerto Plata - Embark on a scenic journey along a rugged trail through the dense jungle, leading to the shoreline where you’ll trot beside the lapping waves. Pause for a moment to capture memories against the backdrop of the stunning azure sea before continuing to Bergantin beach’s bar for a respite and the chance to purchase keepsakes (or additional beverages not included in the tour).
If conditions permit, you’ll have the unique opportunity to swim with a horse. However, be aware that at times, this may not be feasible due to powerful waves and currents. Our priority is always your safety!
Times:
⢠Pick-up for the morning tour begins at 8:45 am (from Bachata, with Playa Dorada pick-ups around 9:15 am)
⢠The ride commences at 9:45 am
⢠The initial leg of the ride lasts about 1 hour
⢠Intermission of 30-40 minutes
⢠The return ride takes roughly 30 minutes

Additional Information
You’ll embark on a journey along a gravel trail, cutting through the jungle to reach the beach, where the horses’ hooves will be lightly touched by the rolling waves. A pause for a photo session against the beautiful turquoise ocean view is next on the agenda before heading to a beachside bar at Bergantin beach. Here, you may rest, buy souvenirs or any other drinks not included in the tour. Provided the sea conditions are safe, you’ll be given the opportunity to swim alongside a horse - a truly extraordinary experience. However, do bear in mind that this might not always be possible if the waves and currents are too strong. As always, we prioritize Safety First!

Excellent horseback riding adventure. - Excellent horseback riding experience with well trained horses and excellent tour guide Alex. You stop by the beach and and enjoy a nice refreshment.

A DREAM - A dream!!
I always had on my vision board riding a horse on the beach at sunset and finally had the chance to try it. The guide men were so friendly and speak english perfectly. They were extremely polite and respectful and trying to help everyone.
I wanted to take a lot of pictures and they had patience with me ahahah🤍
It s a dream and a perfect experience to try it. The horses were well trained and everything went perfect

The best horses ride ever - This was my first time going horseback riding & I was alone. I had such an amazing experience, The staff was very helpful ,they showed me how to move & stop my horse . They also took amazing photos and videos of me on the horse.

Amazing experience that I will never forget - This was an amazing experience. It was my first time. Of course I was nervous. The guides were amazing!!!!!!! Shout out to Angel. He was so informative and patient. He showed me how to and what to do with my horse Mauricio 💙. We rode into and through the jungle and onto the beach and saw the sunset. I will never forget this experience. Would love to do this again one day. Rancho Larimar thank you!!! Gracias :)

Awesome! - Great tour! We rode the horses for about 2 hours through the trail, then on the beach. We stopped off for about 20 minutes so the horses could rest and drink water before we returned. The tour guide was great and the horses Mancha and Elvis were great as well!

Experience of a lifetime - This was the one thing my youngest wanted to do on our trip and it was so worth it. I thought it was going to be short like 3 hours and started getting frustrated when we spent time picking others up but it was about a 4+ hour trip all together. We had plenty of time on the horses. We rode along the beach, through the wilderness, to other beaches and more. At midway they let the horses rest and eat and then took the saddles off so we could ride in the water with them! The guides will help capture amazing photos for you. Alex, Angel, and Ramon were amazing. I would do it again in a heartbeat!! We had a lady who did competition riding in our green and she commented about how well the horses were taken care of and that the staff really loved the horses. That was so good to hear. Even the riders with no experience were riding like they had done it a lot by the end of the trip. I highly recommend this tour and group.

Absolutely incredible ride - I did this as an “excursion” on a cruise and it was by far some of the most fun I’ve had while traveling. The horses are super gentle and easy to ride. The guides who ride with you are incredibly kind and ensure a safe experience. I’ve ridden horses my entire life, so horseback travel experiences are often a bit boring for me because they’re catered to beginners. The guides on this tour meet you where you’re at in experience to make it a fulfilling ride. Highly recommend if you’re an experienced rider.
