The best experience ever! - I just LOVED these excursions very much. I did City Tour (including CarCable), Damajagua (27 waterfall), and the gorgeous Paradise Island (a beach). I had an amazing thank to Andy. I can thanks enough. I may say that my vacation was above and beyond!!

Dry Weather and Fun Excursion - This tour started with a pickup at the hotel and ended with a dinner at the 27 Waterfalls area. He was a great guide throughout pointing me to the right people and explaining the process.

Almost a 5–the waterfalls were amazing!!! - I want to rate this a 5, but based on description, can’t quite—they need to revise a few things. The great: (5 star parts) 1. All of our guides—Papito, Rande, and our driver were fantastic! Friendly, knowledgeable, safe, fun. 2. Communication with tour operator was quick turn around. Friendly! Set up driver and tour guides—we felt well taken care of. Everything was on time. 3. The falls are beautiful, and we had so much fun—our personal party of 6 was 2 50-something moderately in shape adults and 4 teenagers, who’ve said it was the best excursion we’ve ever done. (The falls operators added an older couple who smoked and complained, but they made it) 4. Papito took video and pics with my phone and did an amazing job, kept my phone dry (recommend to bring a heavy sealable plastic bag—I did, or wet case for your phone!!), and we have great memories. 5. Lunch included was filling and great local food. It’s a buffet and my plate was overflowing. Staff was very friendly. 6. Our tour van was comfortable, good WiFi, cold water, safe place to leave our personal items. The what wasn’t 5 stars: 1. No soda or alcohol was included per description. We just had water from the driver. He told us at our meal it wasn’t. Was a little surprised and disappointed—this is minor but shouldn’t be in description—or cost. I.E.: extra beverages at your own cost. He would have gone back to van to get more water, but we felt bad to have him walk while he was also eating. 2. When you get to port you have to hike/walk way past the port tour buses to the very front entrance since it isn’t a cruise operated tour—didn’t mind the walk, but we were kind of freaking out because we really didn’t know where we were going or that we had to walk so far—should be in description!! It’s honest and necessary. We thought we were going to miss our excursion, and we felt kind of dumb. The suggestions: 1. Bring a water safe camera or cover. 2. Definitely need a decent level of fitness. 3. Bring a decent gratuity— these guys worked hard—we didn’t initially have enough and actually were able to get cash back from the gift shop with a purchase (in local currency). 4. Bring water shoes/sandals that you can get wet and hike. Bring a towel to keep in van. We did 2 actual platform jumps and mostly natural rock slides. If you aren’t comfortable to jump, you can climb down the ladder as did the other couple. My understanding is that the cruise sponsored excursions won’t allow you to jump.

An experience - Our Driver from Andy’s tour was fantastic!!! This was a long experience. We had to climb for a very long time uphill and then wait over an hour on multiple stairs down to the waterfalls. We were told there was over 2000 people attending during the day and the cruise ship attendees were taking up most of the space. The guides were fantastic very friendly, very helpful and the experience was one we will not forget. However, it is a very long way to hike in water shoes.

Falls great but be aware of challenges with Andy Tour - Tour is not for 12 falls but for 7, out of which 1 of them is counted as 3 so basically 4 falls. Will be done in 2 hours. You are better off eating at cruise ship. Pickup vehicle is all the way out like you have to exit Amber Cove compound and hit main road than within so many cars find the one with your name. Driver won’t speak English so not a whole lot of communication unless you know Spanish. Falls are great actual tour guides which take you operate separately across these companies so did good job. When I asked Andy about 12 vs 7 falls and not being upfront he came with all the reasons he can find. It’s false advertising and trip advisor should look into this to fix it.
