The word cenote comes from the maya dzonot, which means Cave with water. There are open, semi-open and closed cenotes or caverns. Cenotes were the largest source of fresh water for the Maya and were used as natural burial chambers, you will be surprised by the mysticism and beauty that surrounds the cenotes in the Riviera Maya.
Xenotes is the only tour in the Riviera Maya that takes you to know the four types of cenotes that exist in nature: semi-open, open, ancient, and cavern. Have fun with activities like assisted rappelling, zip lines, kayaking, water exploration swimming, or high jumps. To replenish energy, a delicious picnic will be waiting for you. - It is not possible to change the date on the day of your visit
- For the zip line activity a minimum height of 1.40 m and a minimum weight of 88lb are required.
- The minimum age for Xenotes is 6 years old.

- The tours does not allow any pregnant person, people with recent surgery or any important medical condition

Thank you Aldo and all staff! - Aldo was our amazing guide of the day and made sure things went safely and seamlessly . I lost my glasses at the first stop (100% my fault!) and the staff here FOUND MY GLASSES at the bottom of a cenote. Unreal!! Thanks so much to the whole team who made sure my family (including 9 year old daughter) had an incredible time. This tour is great for anyone from adventurous to totally chicken (tons of places to just sit out if needed). I can’t say enough about this tour— thank you thank you thank you!

Best day - This was the best outing we had while in Cancun. The scenery is breathtaking, the guides were wonderful, and photographer got some amazing shots of us! Lots of fun and safety was their main concern, making sure everyone was well taken care of and having fun.

The best tour - This tour was amazing! Angel (Papa Monkey) was our tour guide and we could not have gotten a better guide. He was absolutely spectacular, patient, and a great instructor. Will definitely don this tour again.

Cenotes & Papa Monkey - viva Mexico! - What an absolute wonder! The cenotes are so beautiful and the company keeps the environment so natural and does not over book. #papamonkey made our experience so much fun - he's hilarious and very knowledgeable about the environment, flora and fauna. SO MUCH FUN.

Amazing Cenotes Experience! - Amazing experience! The tour was well coordinated and the Cenotes were beautiful. Our guide Gabrielle was the best we've had anywhere in the world, taking this trip to the next level. I would recommend the tour to anyone looking for an adventure in the mayan riviera.

Xenotes/Papa Monkey/ excellent trip!!! - #papamonkey
We had an amazing time! Better than expected. Our driver picked us up at the hotel (he was 5 mins late, but sincerely apologized because a taxi hit his mirror prior to arriving)
He arrived and greeted us and was extremely pleasant. We then proceeded to several other hotels to pick up the remaining passengers (12 people overall were in our group)
We went to the first cenote and did some zip lining and cliff jumping. All together we went to 4 areas with different adventures in each one. Angel/ papa monkey was awesome and explained facts at each site.
On the third cenote, they provided an awesome meal which included soup, along with making your own sub sandwich, and drinks. It was really good and unexpected.
A person throughout the trip follows you along taking photos and the sell the to you at the end.. the pictures come out amazing.. helpful hint/ purchase the photo package online to get a lil cheaper rate..
Our Guide was so awesome that we had to tip him because he went truly above and beyond
Papa monkey was awesome and hope we can request him when we bring the kids.

Amazing time at Xenotes! - We had an incredible week at Xcaret Hotel Mexico and did everything posdible- great hotel days and Xplor, Xcaret park & xenses. By far the best day was at Xenotes.
All 4 Xenotes were just beautiful. My sons loved the Wind and being able to do funny tricks on hammock before jumping in water. Water and the kayaks was fun and just long enough. Fire was a great spot, the jump was cool. Earth with the repel in was really exciting and this Xenote was beautiful great way to end day with many jumps.
Gaby was awesome- I can't say enough nice things, she was kind & funny and enjoyed getting to know my family.

Met expectations - So beautiful and fun. Amazing views and refreshing vibes. No need to take anything other than a camera. You could get weary leaving everything on the bus or on a table. Water proof sag will do the trick. Pack light.

Great Tour Poor Customer Service for Photo Package - I had this tour as a 5+ based on the tour itself and wonderful guide. But just like the previous reviewer I was told we would have photos 24 hours after the tour. That did not happen as promised. 2 emails to Xcaret got a boilerplate reply. We too paid quite a bit for the photos. If we get the pictures we paid for I will change the review but for now it’s a 2.
