Best Ever Mexican Cooking Class! - Chef Claudia guided us with humor and history thru so many different types of Mexicine cuisine, from grinding our own cocoa beans into a paste to make a delicious hot chocolate breakfast drink to sweet tamales for dessert and multitudes of dishes between. We couldn't have asked for a better day to spend away from the beach. Gracias Claudia and Mexico Lindo! Highly recommend!

A must do! - An experience to absolutely do if you are near Cancun/Tulum. We had a wonderful time with Ale and his team. We learned as much as we had fun. We didn't see the time passing!! In addition to cuisines we learned about the region, the Mayans, foods etc. And all this in a good mood! Muchisimas gracias de nuevo!

Great Day Cooking Mexican Food - This was a fabuoous day! My adult son and I love cooking and really enjoyed this experience and would recommend to all who enjoy cooking and would like to learn more about preparing and eting Mexican cuisine. The preparation work done ahead and during our arrival was very much appreicated. We were able to learn, do and enjoy many foods because of this. This is a well organized activity, that packs a lot into 5 - 5 1/2 hours.

A great cultural and culinary experience. - A great cultural and culinary experience. I attended this class on a surprise birthday trip and I've got to say it was a day well spent I learned about history, culture, science and culinary techniques all in one experience. Ale is an amazing teacher and makes the most basic dishes taste like a 5 star meal attention to detail impeccable!

Cooking Class - We had an excellent time and learned lots, I'll definitely make some of the recipes at home! It was the best Mexican food we had while out on our vacation. The course was well suited to beginners or experienced cooks.

Very Glad We Did It! - What a wonderful experience. The cooking class was quite informative, and we had several on-hands opportunities. A nice add on was practicing the correct way to cut food without damaging it. I cook Mexican food at home and learned some great ways to improve it. We also enjoyed some traditional beverages. Highly recommend.

Best experience of our entire Riviera Maya trip - Look: we’ll go to Tulum, and snorkel in Cozumel, and swim in a cenote on this trip. But the highlight of the entire time will be our day at Mexico Linda Cooking. The experience was as near to perfect as it could possible have been. Ale is every single thing you could want in an instructor: she is patient, she knows what she’s doing, she clearly loves her subject matter, she is talented with words, and she is a very pleasant person with whom to spend a day — fun without being a cheerleader, helpful and charming without being saccharine. The setting is beautiful. You’re kind of waaaaay back in the jungle, which I guess could throw you (if you’re some kind of weenie or something), but the way-backness is what makes it so bucolic and lovely. When you’re cooking tortillas over a fire in the middle of a jungle, you feel very connected to something ancient. Maybe you are. The house where most of the class happens, meanwhile, is adorable. The kitchen is clean and bright, with plenty of room to work. In the end, the food was…insane. So good. Oh my goodness. I’m ruined for all other food for life. I’m not even a person who would normally take food classes. Regular ol’ jock dude who does some grilling, and that’s about it. But this was tremendous. So fun. Highly recommend.

Wonderful experience but few details to note and improve on :) - The whole experience was overall great! Transportation They offer round trip transportation for MX$1900 from the Hotel Zone. We didn’t choose this since it came out to be quite expensive. So we Uber-ed over and it was MX$850 there and supposedly MX$500 back. Total to be MX$1350. Another pair of participants arrived about an hour late to the class via the arranged transportation and they claimed the driver went to the wrong pickup spot hence they were late. It is also very secluded but they have their “Mexico Lindo Tour” sign on the way to the location. Google Maps does a great job taking you directly to their pinned location. Phone Service Keep in mind, you don’t get service there but they have free wifi which you can connect to and get an Uber back. We tried reserving a return Uber and it was about ~MX$80 more to reserve, which you don’t have to. There were enough Uber drivers around to accept your ride request. Cooking Class 10.30am-3.30pm There were a little too much talking/intro in our opinion. It was very sociable which was nice but there were a mix of history teaching about local cultures which was nice, teaching us tips and tricks of cutting certain ingredients, Spanish names of different ingredients and cooking utensils, etc. which all took maybe 2/3 of the class. We didn’t start cooking until maybe 11.30am? We had 5-6 different types of dishes to make so we were delegated to work on different parts of the dishes. That is good for time management but I feel like we miss out on learning other dishes that we didn’t work on. The class was also over $300 usd for two which is why I would expect to learn everything I paid for. The chef instructor was very entertaining! She spoke English well so it was easy to understand the instructions. She had to manage us students as well as her team members who were also doing preparations in the background. During lunch, around 2.30pm, our foods were assembled by the chef team and not us.. which is a shame. We were only participating in limited parts of the cooking. If there were less talking, we would have been able to do all the cooking and most of the preparations. Also, there were so much food prepared for six of us, it would have been to nice to be able to pack some leftovers with us but that wasn’t part of their plan. They did eventually find some Ziplocks for us to pack some tamales home. Thank you! Conclusion We would totally recommend this cooking class to anyone! The review is really nitpicking the small details that could be improved but otherwise everything was wonderful.
