A unique and educational experience with a fantastic guide! - I couldn't believe it when I found this Herpetological Tour on Trip Advisor. I have been interested in reptiles and amphibians since I was in middle school, and I love unique kinds of adventures. Gil was very knowledgeable about the jungle areas near Puerto Morelos where the tour originated, so he knew about multiple options for our hike. He also had an amazing amount of knowledge about all the plants and animals of all types in the area. There was not one thing that I asked him about that he was unable to identify and educate me about. Language was also no impediment because he was very capable of communicating in English with me. He also adapted the tour to what I wanted, which made me very happy. I mentioned that I wished I could see a toucan, and 5 minutes later, I was taking photos of toucans! I mentioned that I hadn't gotten to see any cenotes, and he led me to 3 cenotes in the jungle. I highly recommend anyone who loves wildlife or plants to let Gil take you on one of his unique and interesting tours! I plan to do another tour with him in the future!
