Highly Recommended Dive Shop in Puerto Morelos - Highly recommended for new and experienced divers. Crescent and her team went out of their way to ensure we had some fabulous diving on our 1-week vacation at the El Cid Ventus hotel resort. Due to high winds, the marina was closed for the day we had reserved to dive. Crescent put her team to work and they organized a different diving excursion to an open Senote called “Casa Manatee”. She organized all details with dedicated transportation, and our driver Antonio gave us in-depth insights of the local history, geography, and culture. The 1.5 hour drive went by in a flash! Rene, our dive master, gave the training and skills to the beginners in our group as part of the “Discover Scuba Class”. We then dove the open Senote. The mangroves in the river made it really a unique and picturesque dive. Many varieties of fresh water fish to see and very good visibility. The icing on the cake was when Crescent called us early one morning later in the week to inform us the marina had opened (as the winds had calmed), and that an ocean dive to the Reef was possible. We were all over that and Crescent organized another excursion for us to see the Reef before our vacation ended. Her crew, led by our dive master Soy, took us out to “The fish market” for our first tank and as soon as we got in the water we understood where the place got its name! What an amazing place! (see the pictures to prove it!). Our 2nd tank was at “The wall” where we spotted and swam with a few green turtles… again, amazing experience. If you’re looking for great people to dive with, super qualified PADI dive masters, excellent gear, extremely safe environment, in Puerto Morellos, Aquanauts is the place! Thanks Crescent for the amazing experience and we can’t wait to see you and your whole team at our next visit! Robert & Paula from Ottawa, Canada

Great family fun - What a great time! Only 2 hours of in pool instruction and you are ready for a safe dive. Only 30 feet down which is plenty and plenty of instructors for peace of mind. 2nd time with them and can’t wait for next time! Thanks Monty and Renee!

Amazing Time - We had an amazing dive! We had problems with the place we booked with (they picked wrong dive). But Crescent (Management) made it work and didn’t charge us any more for what we were promised at the purchase point. Also when I forgot to get info for PADI when we left she went out of her way to make sure I got the info. Adam took us on our dive, and he was great! He made sure at all times we were ok, and continually checked in with us and showed us interesting things to look at while at the Ocean bottom. We had a great half hour dive at The Fish Market and that holds true to its name as we saw many many fish down there. We are now thinking of getting PADI certified for more diving.

Started with Discover Scuba Diving, then decided to get the Scuba Diver Certification! - We stayed at the Ventus at Marina El Cid and had done research to see that there was a dive shop just a short walk from the property. I had wanted to at least do a scuba demo in the pool to see if I could even handle it. Rami was great and made me comfortable getting in the equipment and swimming around the pool. I ended up signing up for the Discover Scuba Diving. We did some more lessons in the pool and then went on a dive to The Fish Market. That was a good spot for my first dive - saw some neat fish and lobsters. Afterwards, I decided to go for my Scuba Certification (a subset of the Open Water Diver certification). I did the home study and videos in one day and had my subsequent pool certification and final checkout dive the next day. They were flexible with scheduling and Rami was a great teacher. He helped me feel comfortable in the pool as well as in the ocean. Highly recommend. I am confident that the other instructors would be just as wonderful.

Wonderful experience. - You won't be disappointed. The marina location is easy to find and facilities are updated and clean. Nice for showering off after your excursion. At first I was nervous about my first scuba experience but the instructors soon made me feel secure and confident during both the pool instruction and the reef dive. The scuba diving was great; the aquatic plants and animals that were pointed out on the reef were beautiful. We were even able to purchase pictures of our time underwater at the end of our trip. It was an amazing adventure for this grandmother.

Aquanauts Dive Adventures changes agreed upon prices - My husband went to the Aquanauts Dive Adventures to get information about a specific dive he wanted to do. I He was given a price by email and told them he would come back when he was able to book and give a date. When he did this they increased the price by 300 pesos but he reminded them of the agreed upon price and the person he had spoke with originally agreed to the original price of 3200 pesos. He booked for two days out for the original price of 3200 at to the specific dive site. On the dive day he walked with all his equipment (20) minutes only to be told as he was unpacking his gear the price was now higher by 600 pesos from the original price. The reason they gave was because the site was far away. Farther away when he booked the dive? He refused to pay their inflated price and walked back to our condo. This business had his email and could have reached out to alter the price but I guess they were lazy and more likely hoping he would cave and pay them what they asked. He would rate it 0 if he could since no service, or communication was provided.
