Puerto Maldonado – Paradise Amazon Lodge (Tambopata)
Puerto Maldonado - Guests will be transported to Puerto Capitania at 9:30 AM, where they will embark on a picturesque 30-minute journey to the beautiful Paradise Amazon Ecolodge.

Tambopata National Reserve - CANOPY WALK:
Just 200 meters from the lodge is the entrance to the Canopy Tower. Standing at an impressive 35 meters, this viewpoint is anchored to the base of a magnificent Lupuna tree.
Throughout the day, visitors can spot a variety of bird species. A local expert will provide detailed insights into the region’s flora and fauna.
Tambopata National Reserve - ZIP LINING:
After the canopy walk, thrill-seekers can enjoy zip-lining. The local guide will share techniques to enhance the experience and ensure safety procedures are understood. Once ready, guests will glide down the 190-meter zip line, greeted by an instructor at the end.
Following this exhilarating adventure, guests will return to the resort for lunch. An authentic Amazonian meal will be served, followed by some relaxation time.
Tambopata National Reserve - KAYAK:
In the early afternoon, a kayaking excursion will commence. The team will provide essential safety gear, and a support boat will follow to ensure the group’s safety.
After kayaking, guests can refresh in the invigorating waters of the Madre de Dios River, a perfect way to cool off from the Amazonian heat.
Tambopata National Reserve - MONKEY ISLAND:
After kayaking, a 15-minute journey will take guests to Monkey Island.
Here, visitors can observe capuchin monkeys and black and white monkeys (Cebus apella and Cebus albifrons). These friendly creatures can be approached and fed with the guidance of a local expert.
The return to the resort is scheduled for 4:30 PM, where guests can witness the famous Amazon sunset.
Tambopata National Reserve - After nightfall, an expedition with searchlights and headlamps will be conducted to spot alligators. White caimans and dwarf caimans are often seen in this area. The return to the resort is planned for 7:30 PM, followed by a delicious dinner and a restful night.
Lake Sandoval – Night Walk
Tambopata National Reserve - As the day begins, the melodic birdsong will greet guests. A delightful Amazonian breakfast awaits, featuring freshly squeezed fruit juice, authentic Peruvian coffee, eggs, fluffy pancakes, savory fried plantains, and other traditional treats.
The group will depart for the checkpoint at 9:30 AM. Upon arrival, registration will be completed, followed by an hour-long, three-kilometer hike to Lake Sandoval.
During this journey, there will be opportunities to observe a diverse array of local flora and fauna, including the majestic river otters.
Lago Sandoval - Upon reaching Lake Sandoval, nestled in the jungle’s heart, a delectable lunch will be served. Afterward, a rowboat journey to the lake’s center will offer more wildlife observation opportunities.
This area is home to hoatzins, cormorants, and anhingas. Lucky visitors might also spot the elusive and playful otters.
Lago Sandoval - NIGHT WALK:
Around 6:30 PM, a stroll through the protected area will reveal various nocturnal species. A knowledgeable guide will provide insights into the creatures encountered.
Upon returning to the resort, expected around 7:30 PM, a scrumptious dinner will be served.
Native Family Visit – SportFishing – Transfer to Tambopata
Lago Sandoval - Guests will start the day with a delightful Amazonian breakfast, followed by an 8:00 AM hike. The path leads to a local family, descendants of hunters and warriors, known for their exquisite paintings. Guests can purchase any captivating pieces.
Next, a trek to a nearby ravine will offer lakeside fishing opportunities. The lake is home to various fish species, including catfish, damsel, sardines, and the notorious piranha.
The catch will be taken back to the resort, where the chef will expertly prepare it for lunch.
Tambopata National Reserve - The afternoon is free for guests to rest and relax in hammocks.

Parrot Clay Lick – Return to Puerto Maldonado
