Arrival in Puerto Maldonado - Transfer to the Hostel

Puerto Maldonado - Upon arriving at the Puerto Maldonado airport or bus station, guests will be greeted and transferred to the office for check-in. Any additional luggage can be securely stored before heading to the lodge, where a refreshing welcome drink will be served.

After enjoying a delicious lunch, the Canopy Tower & Zipline adventure will commence. The 35-meter tower, constructed around a giant Lupuna tree, offers breathtaking views and opportunities to spot various bird species. A local guide will provide fascinating insights into the Amazon’s flora and fauna.

Next, prepare for an exhilarating zipline experience through the jungle canopy! Glide along a 190-meter cable, cross a 100-meter hanging bridge, and return via a second zipline—all under the guidance of trained instructors.

In the evening, embark on a boat journey to explore the Madre de Dios River in search of nocturnal wildlife. With some luck, caimans and the impressive capybara, the world’s largest rodent, weighing up to 60 kg, may be spotted.

Sandoval Lake - Return to Puerto Maldonado

Puerto Maldonado - After breakfast, take a boat to the Tambopata National Reserve Control Zone. Following a 1.5-hour hike through the jungle, reach the renowned Sandoval Lake. Be surrounded by ancient trees and tangled vines.
Observe local plants and wildlife, including giant otters, birds, colorful butterflies, turtles, and a diverse array of fish. Spend a few hours canoeing to fully appreciate one of the most beautiful lakes in the region.
Return to the lodge and take a boat ride back to Puerto Maldonado, followed by a transfer to the airport or bus station.
