BOOK this TOUR!!!! - The Sunset Chacahua Experience was one of the best tours we have ever taken in all our travels. Our guide, Juan Carlos, was wonderful and informative. He shared his knowledge of the ecosystem in Chacahua, and we had a blast with him during our time with him. This experience had a little of everything: drinking from a coconut, chilling on the beach, eating the best taco I have ever had, hiking to a STUNNING beach sunset, and the boat ride through the bioluminescent lagoons was unbelievably cool. Captain Chema was immensely skilled at navigating the boat through the mangrove caves at night....What a RUSH!!! Please don't hesitate to take this tour. It is an experience we will never forget!!!!

Good tour guide - Ernesto did a good job showing us places of interest in and around Chacahua. He speaks good English and we appreciated his willingness to help us with our Spanish.

Like 7 tours in 1 - Juan Carlos was an incredible guide with a strong fund of knowledge. Slowly coursing through the mangroves on the way to the park was just as thrilling as racing through the bioluminescent waters when heading home. A great taste of culture and nature.

Don’t miss it if you are in Puerto Escondido - Amazing time spent half day with Juan Carlos, our guide. Speaks very well in English and was bringing us to all the best spots. Mangroves experience was amazing at night. Clear sky for Star gazing, once in a lifetime experience. Selected restaurant served a very tatsy seafood. Surfing beach was great experience too!

Excellent ! - We took three tours with this agency. First we went to Chacahua with Efraín. The lagoon is wonderful, we saw lots of birds and Efraín's explanations were really useful. We ate at a really good restaurant and watched sunset from a lighthouse. We were so lucky to see a group of whales from there ! Finally, the bioluminescence was amazing. On the second day we went to the dolphin tour with Joel. He was very respectful with the animals and gave good explanations. We saw three species of dolphins and many turtles. Finally we went to the turtle release tour with Jaciel. Again his explanations were really good. The guy from the turtle sanctuary explained that the sanctuary is only funded via these tours. Seeing the baby turtles reaching the sea was such an amazing feeling! I recommend 100% this agency!

Spectacular location - Jaciel took our family of four (including kids age 6 and 8) and one other tourist to Chacahua. We were picked up on time and took a boat ride through the lagoons of Chacahua. My husband is a birder, and he was pleased that Jaciel is also a good birder and they were able identify birds together as they found them. After the ride we went to see the crocodiles. While we liked seeing them, we were more impressed with seeing the crocodiles on Ventanilla Island. We then had lunch at a restaurant overlooking a spectacular stretch of beach. It looked like it should have been in a Corona commercial. The water was shallow and was easy swimming for the kids. While swimming, schools of small fish swam around us. After lunch and swimming we took a short hike up to a lighthouse. The lighthouse was open and we got to climb the stairs to the top for an amazing view. I would recommend bug spray for the hike, but if you forget the views are worth getting bit up for. We then relaxed at another restaurant with oysters and fresh coconuts while the kids splashed in the lagoon. It was a quick trip back on the boat and then we loaded up in the car and headed back to Puerto Escondido. This is a fabulous location well worth the time and money. We found it was cheaper to book directly with Eco Adventures than through Trip Advisor.

Bad experience with cabins in Chacahua. - Good afternoon, I would like to begin by highlighting the beauty and rich culture of Chacahua, as well as the hard work of its people. Unfortunately, my experience was marred by the actions of Edgar Javier Herrera Arrazola and his son, Kaled. My family and friends rented cabins from them and although initially everything was going well, something unfortunate happened. At the end of our stay, I forgot my wallet under my pillow in the cabin. This contained a significant amount of money. When Mr. Herrera Arrazola and his son returned the wallet, all the money was missing. I confronted them, but they denied any responsibility. It should be noted that they were the only ones who accessed the cabin after our departure. I reported this incident to the Tututepec prosecutor's office, but despite being summoned, Herrera Arrazola did not appear. Due to time constraints, I was unable to pursue the case further. It is discouraging that someone known in the community, like Mr. Herrera Arrazola, could act in this way. The money that was stolen was intended to be used in Chacahua, benefiting those who really work hard. With this letter, I seek to inform future visitors to Chacahua. Be careful when renting cabins from these people to avoid similar situations... @HerreraArrazola

Didn't end up going. - Didn't get to go since there where too few people signed up. But still got a confirmation for the trip, so it was confusing. I ended up not going to many other activities because I thought I was going on this one, but it got cancelled 2 times before I gave up. But I got the refund at least.
