Very poor communication.... - Very poor communication. Received an automated WhatsApp message with the meeting point and time. I messaged to confirm, since it was different from the time listed in the booking, and I never received a response. We showed up at the time and place in the WhatsApp, and there was an office for the tour company, but the office was closed. We were early and thought someone would show up at the office, but they never did. We called the tour company office and nobody spoke English. Thankfully, during the call, about five minutes after the meeting time, a van came to pick us up. It took us on a 20-minute ride to about a 15-minute boat ride. We didn’t know this beforehand, but bioluminescence can only be viewed on nights when the moon isn’t out. The moonlight makes it invisible to the naked eye. So the companies have built these strange little tents on the water which are like something out of a nightmare or horror movie. They cram 10-15 people into the tiny tent for about 20 minutes, and you can see flecks of bioluminescent algae. We couldn’t wait to get out. The moonlit swim was pleasant and the water was warm, probably the best part of the whole experience. The guy on the boat and giving explanations was very nice and helpful. Overall, I would not recommend this tour unless you can go when the moon is not visible, and even then, choose another company.
